I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

Dear Eugenia:
I was born at 12:25 a.m. on 6 May 1972. Around January 2000, Saturn will return to its position in my natal chart, Gemini. My question is this: What significant effects, if any, will the fact that Saturn, Mars, and Venus are all in Gemini (and retrograde, I believe) in my natal chart have on my Saturn return? (or, more generally, what types of influences can I expect during my Saturn return?)

First of all your natal Mars and Venus are not situated close enough to your natal Saturn in order to form a conjunction. Therefore, I would be more concerned with your natal Saturn opposite your natal Neptune when your Saturn returns strikes between May and July of next year and January and March of 2002. With your natal Moon well aspected to both your natal Saturn and Neptune however I feel comfortable saying that it shouldn't be too difficult. Usually your Saturn return results in reevaluating your life. It is a turning point for most people. In your case it will be in an area that deals with such things as making a move from one state to another (which I might add should be favorable) or deciding to further your education for self-purpose or for career advancement. It can also be a time that children will play a role in your life or that you could be taken advantage of financially. It is not a time that you should trust just anyone, especially with your money. You may want to reconsider the way you spend your spare time socializing. If you have been overindulgent it may be the time to cut back or quit altogether. Saturn is a disciplinarian, a teacher, we are to learn from our past mistakes and use this period of renewed awareness to sort through the clutter in our lives and move on in a positive and refreshed manner. You shouldn't fight Saturn influences, but instead learn to accept the situation you are in and find the most suitable way to make the changes necessary to better your life.

I am currently on a complete roller coaster ride with a guy that I am dating and am not sure which way to go with it, ie, should I keep 'riding' in hopes of a commitment or walk away and not look back. My intentions weren't to get involved with a man 10 years younger than me but I absolutely adore him and care for him. I have friends who are happily married to men who were 'difficult' in the beginning and they are in complete bliss now. Does this person look as though he could be a 'long term' or do our charts state otherwise. Any input would be a HUGE help.

The comparison with your Cancer man was adequate but did show signs of sorrow in an area of your chart that deals with friends, family, work associates and communication. This can result in some deception and dishonesty about true feelings and what else is going on when he isn't with you. There are a lot of uncertainties that are going through your chart right now with regards to continuing this relationship. You are at a place in your life where you want to settle down. He is going through some major turmoil regarding taking that step. He was born with his natal Neptune opposite his natal Venus and that usually means that he can be a bit of a player, especially with his Venus being in the sign Gemini and his Neptune in Sagittarius. Without his time of birth I cannot tell you exactly how this will manifest itself in his chart but in yours I believe that he could eventually cheat. I usually like younger men older women relationships or the other way around, but in this case I do believe that you should not put up with anything that he dishes out and that you should keep your door open for a possible new love connection because your chart indicates that you are in a high cycle where meeting new partners or having someone you cared about from your past coming back into your life. If you are tied up with your Cancer friend you aren't likely to be in a position to move onto someone who will treat you better. Regarding your friends who are happily married to difficult men - you'd have to be a fly on the wall to really know how good or bad their relationships are. The grass always looks greener on the other side. You match up better to those born under the signs Aries, Leo, Libra and Aquarius.

I really need your help. I just celebrated my birthday and I could ask for little more than a response to brighten my day. I was recently proposed to by a wonderful man whom I used to date in high school. (November 4th, 2000)We have very much kept in touch. He told me not too long ago that he has been in love with me for a year. He was born on February 3rd, 1981 at 4:39am. He currently resides in Turkey, where he is stationed until next month. Then he will be back home in New Mexico on his base. I was born at 7:04am on November 15th, 1981. I am 97% sure that I will say yes, but I suppose that other 3% is waiting on a sign. I can think of no better sign than a response from you. I have heard speeches from every possible angle about how I should enjoy being young and that I shouldn't get serious. The thing is, I enjoy being serious. Its one of my goals in life to marry a loving husband, and he is in front of my eyes. You are a serious person and I can see by your chart that you want to be in love, get married, have a family and live happily ever after. I do believe however that although the comparison is good that uncertainties are also present and the fact that you are looking for a sign to tell you to go for it means that as sure as you think you are you do have some reservations. I believe that you will accept his proposal and that you will marry your Aquarius partner but I also believe that for as much as you have in common there will be some obstacles along the way. Those could perhaps be his constant traveling about or being stationed somewhere that is potentially dangerous. Your comparison does indicate that mentally, physically and emotionally you do match quite nicely and that you are going through a period that is favorable for settling down and making a commitment.
