For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.

I was born at 12:25 a.m. on 6 May 1972. Around January 2000, Saturn will return to its position in my natal chart, Gemini. My question is this: What significant effects, if any, will the fact that Saturn, Mars, and Venus are all in Gemini (and retrograde, I believe) in my natal chart have on my Saturn return? (or, more generally, what types of influences can I expect during my Saturn return?)

First of all your natal Mars and Venus are not situated close enough to your natal Saturn in order to form a conjunction. Therefore, I would be more concerned with your natal Saturn opposite your natal Neptune when your Saturn returns strikes between May and July of next year and January and March of 2002. With your natal Moon well aspected to both your natal Saturn and Neptune however I feel comfortable saying that it shouldn't be too difficult. Usually your Saturn return results in reevaluating your life. It is a turning point for most people. In your case it will be in an area that deals with such things as making a move from one state to another (which I might add should be favorable) or deciding to further your education for self-purpose or for career advancement. It can also be a time that children will play a role in your life or that you could be taken advantage of financially. It is not a time that you should trust just anyone, especially with your money. You may want to reconsider the way you spend your spare time socializing. If you have been overindulgent it may be the time to cut back or quit altogether. Saturn is a disciplinarian, a teacher, we are to learn from our past mistakes and use this period of renewed awareness to sort through the clutter in our lives and move on in a positive and refreshed manner. You shouldn't fight Saturn influences, but instead learn to accept the situation you are in and find the most suitable way to make the changes necessary to better your life.

Dear Eugenia,
I was in a very intense, 4-month relationship that ended Feb, 2000. I am a Taurus/Gemini cusp, born May 21, 1958 @ 3:20 a.m. and he was born Sept. 13, 1957. He ended it in a very callous fashion, i.e. a phone call informing me it was over with no prior discussion, no fight, no indication whatsoever that anything was wrong. Needless to say I was devastated, not to mention shocked and betrayed beyond belief. He was/is the only man I have ever loved as there wasn't a single thing about him that I didn't like and I have NEVER found that before or since.
Being single at age 42 is no picnic. Pickings are slim simply because of logistics and what is available usually involves problems with kids, ex-wives and whatever other baggage they are bound to be carrying. So I find myself feeling totally hopeless that I will never find someone I cared for like I did him. I have been to the beach and back and know full well how bad the odds are.
So, before I toss in all my chips and waste no further effort into trying to meet someone, I thought I'd ask you if and when you foresee me ever finding happiness.

I don't know how many letters you have received regarding gay relationships, but I'm sure this won't be your first. I've been with my boyfriend for three months now, he is an Aquarius born on February 12, 1979. I am a Cancer born on July 8, 1978, at 2:11 in the afternoon.
We've been experiencing some difficulties within the integrity of the relationship. As a Cancer, I tend to be very smothering, and sometimes I can inundate an individual too much. My boyfriend recently told me that he wants to take a break because he is confused. He became very cold and insipid in the last week, and seemed to be very standoffish. As a typical Cancer, my emotions have been running the gamut lately, and I am just wondering if this break will be permanent or temporary. I am willing to give him the space he needs, after all, I need my own identity as well. I am willing to compromise and make this work. I really believe David to be a person of pure heart and good intentions, and my trust, which wanes at times, is restored in him. I just hope that fate has something planned for us. The area in your chart that deals with relationships is going through a make it or break it period. The summer is a perfect time for you to take a break from your confused Aquarius partner. You need time as well. You are correct to say that your comparison wasn?t great, workable yes, but not easy. I can tell that you will be coming into a high cycle next summer that should bring someone into your life who is probably better for you. If you let this Aquarius fill the void in your life he will only be standing in the way when someone terrific wants to be with you. This could cause you to miss out on a relationship that could be the love of your life. Your Aquarius is going through a period that is extremely confusing. He is uncertain about himself and his future. He doesn?t really know what he wants and although he is capable of remaining loyal it is not one of his priorities.
