I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

Dear Eugenia:
I was born at 12:25 a.m. on 6 May 1972. Around January 2000, Saturn will return to its position in my natal chart, Gemini. My question is this: What significant effects, if any, will the fact that Saturn, Mars, and Venus are all in Gemini (and retrograde, I believe) in my natal chart have on my Saturn return? (or, more generally, what types of influences can I expect during my Saturn return?)

First of all your natal Mars and Venus are not situated close enough to your natal Saturn in order to form a conjunction. Therefore, I would be more concerned with your natal Saturn opposite your natal Neptune when your Saturn returns strikes between May and July of next year and January and March of 2002. With your natal Moon well aspected to both your natal Saturn and Neptune however I feel comfortable saying that it shouldn't be too difficult. Usually your Saturn return results in reevaluating your life. It is a turning point for most people. In your case it will be in an area that deals with such things as making a move from one state to another (which I might add should be favorable) or deciding to further your education for self-purpose or for career advancement. It can also be a time that children will play a role in your life or that you could be taken advantage of financially. It is not a time that you should trust just anyone, especially with your money. You may want to reconsider the way you spend your spare time socializing. If you have been overindulgent it may be the time to cut back or quit altogether. Saturn is a disciplinarian, a teacher, we are to learn from our past mistakes and use this period of renewed awareness to sort through the clutter in our lives and move on in a positive and refreshed manner. You shouldn't fight Saturn influences, but instead learn to accept the situation you are in and find the most suitable way to make the changes necessary to better your life.

I have been in a state of depression that I can't seem to get out of since my Gemini friend (16/6/78) died in a car accident on April 23rd 1999. My depression had lead me into a few problems at work and as a result I have lost my job. I am almost at the point where I could easily give it all up. However there is a nagging feeling in my mind that I know that if I apply myself just that little bit better I can get another job. Studying is another area that is looming in the near future of my life. I hate transitions like this. The future at this stage is so uncertain, when will I receive the stability and the security I know that I deserve? I was born March 15, 1974, at 4:10 PM.

It's always hard to let go of someone we match up to so well but the fact of the matter is that you have way too much going for you to sit back a let life pass you by. Your chart indicates that it's time to get moving once again. You are coming into a high cycle regarding work over the course of the next couple of years. Your first career opportunity will be present mid May however it is a very short window. Beginning in August you will have better professional opportunities that will remain with you throughout next year. You may find that learning on the job will be just as favorable for you and if you can land an apprenticeship that would be even better. You are a Libra by Sun Sign but that is where the Libra ends. You have three planets, Mercury, Uranus and Pluto in the sign Virgo, both Venus and Mars in Leo, your Moon and Jupiter in Taurus, Saturn in Aquarius and Neptune in Scorpio. We are all made up of various planets in different signs so don?t put so many onuses on your Sun Sign. In your case your Libra Sun falls in an area that deals with your home environment and that means that you will deal with issues that have to do with home and family using the characteristics of that sign. But when it comes to the way you think and communicate Virgo rules. Regarding how you deal with money and how you can earn a living Leo is the sign that counts. Your personality will sometimes take on the sign Gemini because that is your Rising Sign. You are emotionally stable with your Moon in Taurus and with Jupiter there as well you do know what to do when opportunity arises. You have a creative side with your Neptune in Scorpio in your fifth but because it is poorly aspected to your natal Venus problems with love, children, getting your creative ideas off the ground and letting your money slip through your fingers can be your demise. With Saturn at the top of your chart however if there is a will you will find a way to reach whatever goals you set for yourself.
