Hi, it is an honor to write to you. I receive hope from your site when I'm in need of help. The reason I am writing to you Eugenia is that this year, a lot of bad things have happened to me... My best friend committed suicide and I am having difficulty getting over the shock. This was only 3 months ago...My mind is so dizzy. I need to forget everything and face the reality but I don't know whether I'm too weak.
I love a guy. I have known him since I was young. We were friends in the beginning and became lovers later. There is a misunderstanding between him and me. As a result, he left me. I need to forget him but it is not easy to do so. Every day is a long day full of pains. Eugenia, Can you give me a supportive word? I'd like to move on...

The year 2000 came with fireworks, just not the fireworks I was expecting. After 5 years in a relationship with the same man, two and half of which we were married, he indicated January 2,2000 that he was not sure if he was "in love" with me. This was perhaps not a surprise to me, as we had been having conflicts over the last year due to my attending grad school and we had attended counseling, per my request. After much debating, I decided to leave our house on Jan 8, 2000 and allow him some "time to think." It was during that time that I found out that there was another woman with whom he was involved. I have always been very naive, too naive I suppose! He was my first boyfriend and, therefore, my only experience. Since my discovery, I have endured many unpleasant moments, which I would rather not retell. A month after we were separated, I decided that I could not continue with a relationship which was based on a lie, and so I filed for divorce. And so here I stand, filled with anger and pain. Feeling guilty as perhaps the reason why he ended up involving himself with someone else was my fault or my dedication to my career...I don't know whether that is a question that you may be able to answer, but, for my own peace I would like to know. Your comparison indicates that you are well suited to one another in most ways. There is however two things that would cause problems in your relationship. The first being deception and the second being an element of anger that appears to be present regarding position and status in society. He may have felt some insecurity regarding your direction professionally, however that is no excuse for him to be with someone else. Especially while you were still together. My story is very similar to the earlier soul mate story. I was told by astrologers/tarot readers that I would meet a man who will have a link with Mexico and Kingston. He would be dark with dark eyes and be a fantastic cook. I was also informed that I would meet him in my late 20's and it would be love at first sight across a crowded bar. This was not only one person that told me this but four in different locations within the UK. I set my heart on meeting this man and this was my destiny. One Thursday, I was asked to go out for a drink by some friends. I was not in the mood, however, I picked myself up and went out. I felt very intuitive that day and excited knowing something was going to happen. In the pub, I met up with many friends old and new. As I turned to walk towards the bar I could see out of the corner of my eye a man looking at me. I melted! Why me, I thought. He came over to me and looked into my eyes. I knew it was him before we had spoken to each other as immediately we had recognized each other. We sat and talked infatuated by each other for the rest of the evening. He then told me he was working in Kingston and had worked in the armed forces in Mexico for 3 years. Also, he wanted to cook for me! We started to see each other for which I can say this was the best time of my life. He was charming, fun and very exciting. After 2 months of seeing each other he told me that he had to work away and that he needed time. I was devastated, as I had set my heart on traveling with him around the world.Since our conversation, we never spoke again. I have seen him in different pubs and we still keep appearing in the same places at the same time. Maybe I am looking too deeply into this, but I would really appreciate a response to this letter as I feel I have poured my heart out and I am in desperate need for advice. I was born on the 14th August 1973 and he was born on the 28th April 1966. Please help!
