I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.

This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.

Every time I read my horoscope, there is one thing I'd like to know...That's why I'm writing to you, I was born February 2, 1977, at 5:00 AM. Whenever we are unsure of our future, we look up our horoscope. Then, it might only be 50% correct, however, at least we can get to know little,...then for example, people who have financial luck do not have to work and people who don't have, they have to work throughout their lives...Of course we can not just reply on horoscope...we can just get help from it... If our fate is already determined, then what should we do?

Good question. Astrology is a mathematical science and an interpretive art. Only God can determine how long ones life will last but some of the things that we go through in life are determined by what we do as individuals. In your particular case your chart indicates that you are very bright and capable of making a lot of money through investments over the years. You will be in a high cycle regarding learning and educational pursuits as well as travel between now and the July of next year. You should also be looking at all your options regarding your career and job prospects between now and the end of 2001. You can make favorable professional changes if you put your mind to it. You should be careful however that you don't overspend foolishly over the next year and a half on social activities, entertainment, gambling or luxury items. If you can budget wisely until the end of next year you will be in a good position to invest in a worthwhile venture that should be quite prosperous. As you can see, there are good times and bad times to be doing certain things throughout your life. It isn't necessarily true that one person's chart is better than someone else's is but more so that one has better timing than the other does. Astrology can help you decipher when it is the best time to start something new or make a change or take advantage of an opportunity. As I have said many times, the ancient art of astrology is the modern art of timing.

Over the past 4 years or so my life has been going in a downward spiral. I lost my father; my wife (through divorce) and I don't see my daughter. I lost my job as a software engineer. I know, like most, that you take the rough with the smooth in life. Now I'm at a stage where I feel completely lost and without direction. My finances have hit rock bottom. This is in stark contrast to about 12 years ago when life was almost great! Over recent years it seems that whatever I do just doesn't work. My question is will my life ever improve? Any help or guidance you can offer will be appreciated. I was born June 18, 1969 at 6 am.

Several planets have added to your down spiral the past eight years and although these transits in your chart aren't completely gone things do appear to be getting better. Part of the problem the past four years is that transiting Saturn has been passing through an area of your chart that can cause major depression and if your state of mind is bad because of this you will in turn attract negativity. This will lift off towards the end of the summer when you should start to feel some relief, but that doesn't mean that everything will turn around instantly. It will take work, effort and time on your part to make the difference. You appear to be lonely and this has also contributed to your depression. Trying to get involved with someone the past several years would have been difficult. Okay well here goes I want to start by saying that I really love reading anything that you write. I am an avid fan and have been for years.:-) Well lets start by saying that I was a single mom for about 7 years or so and recently have met and have started a relationship with a much younger man, he treats me so good if I want to go anywhere I just have to ask and he sends me if I want anything all I have to do is mention the word and he gets it for me he treats me wonderfully but because of recent relationships I am very very insecure I really want this guy to be the one he has asked me to marry him and he says he wants to be with me for the rest of his life but I just can't help feeling guilty that I am holding him back from meeting the woman of his dreams, he continually tells me that I am that woman I really do love him and am in love with him, I don't want to mess this up by my insecure nature please help me to understand what is going on am I just being silly? I have no problem with older man/younger woman or older man/younger woman. In fact I believe an age difference is usually a good thing because it helps to separate the natal Neptune placements in both charts. However, in this particular case the comparison is not good. It is based on deception, disillusionment and lack of vision. There is major sorrow emotionally, mentally and physically and although that may not be apparent right now it will be in the future. I believe you should be looking at this relationship, as fun for the time being but to actually marry this man would be a mistake. You match up best to those born under the signs Taurus, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces - Take note Aquarius does not fall in the lineup.
