I am a great fan of yours. You seem to provide enough info about the future so people can make sense of their lives. I am one of those people. I am truly confused. The beginning Dec. 6 of 1999 I meet a young man who had responded to a personal ad I had posted. Once we got talking I had a sense that this person was my soul mate. We could write e-mails that could make a book within days. Well I decided to visit him over my spring break. The experience was great, but he recently told me that him and his ex girlfriend are slowly getting back together. I was wondering if we still have a chance and if not how can I move on? Dear Eugenia,

I have been in a state of depression that I can't seem to get out of since my Gemini friend (16/6/78) died in a car accident on April 23rd 1999. My depression had lead me into a few problems at work and as a result I have lost my job. I am almost at the point where I could easily give it all up. However there is a nagging feeling in my mind that I know that if I apply myself just that little bit better I can get another job. Studying is another area that is looming in the near future of my life. I hate transitions like this. I grew up alone and lonely, but didn't mind, as it was all I knew. After 18 yrs of a (almost) happy marriage he left and again I have been alone for 18 yrs. I could have gotten married twice, but they both smothered me and wanted to just follow me around all the time. I raised one kid who is an attorney. Everyone thinks I am a happy, fun person, but really I am so tired of battling life alone. Will this ever change? I listen to co-workers who have families or husbands to cook for and I envy them so much. Also financially I just hang on and worry about a roof over my head and food on the table. I refuse to be a burden to my kid. Will this ever change?
