I am a great fan of yours. You seem to provide enough info about the future so people can make sense of their lives. I am one of those people. I am truly confused. The beginning Dec. 6 of 1999 I meet a young man who had responded to a personal ad I had posted. Once we got talking I had a sense that this person was my soul mate. We could write e-mails that could make a book within days. Well I decided to visit him over my spring break. The experience was great, but he recently told me that him and his ex girlfriend are slowly getting back together. I was wondering if we still have a chance and if not how can I move on? Ok so its been a long couple of weeks (maybe I should say long couple of months) -- basically I've been out partying and having a lot of fun...But lately, I realized that everything around me ends up circling back to the person I "LOATHED" the most in this world. You are destroying yourself and holding yourself back because of the inability to let go of something that is not changeable at the moment. No one is worth the aggravation that you are letting this person put you through. You are going through a high cycle regarding love and if you are hanging on to the past you won't be able to take advantage of any romantic opportunity that comes your way. Dear Eugenia,

Help! I need your advice. My life is a disaster, which actually is just a continuation of last year. My best childhood friend died suddenly from cancer in January. I have been out on disability since October of last year. My financial situation is dire. My employer made false accusations against me and has now stopped paying me. I know they have no intention of allowing me to return to work. I don't know how much more I can take.

I am a single mom and have to support my children, but I feel totally lost. Do you see anything positive occurring in my near future? Everywhere I turn for help or advice, I hit a brick wall. How much longer do I have to endure this gloomy situation? I'm usually a very lucky person. I don't understand what has happened during the past 10 months and I am at my wits end.
