We've all experienced times of conflict and personal struggle. Times when the assistance and advice of a friend always seemed to lend comfort and ease the burden. Have you ever wondered what it would be like if that friend was one of the world's most revered astrologers, with over 25 years of experience?

I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.
The following are our 'Dear Eugenia' letters archive:
Hi Eugenia
I'm sure you are busy replying letters. I will consider your advice carefully if my letter is answered. I have been going out with my boyfriend for 8 years. I was supposed to marry my boyfriend last year. But, I'm the one who suggested reconsidering our marriage. I am negative to marriage, that is, I was afraid that I might lose my freedom. His parents want us to get married soon. However, considering his conservative parents and my non-conservative parents, I think I will have to face some problems after we get married. Am I too selfish? I'm working in the computing machine area. I want to go abroad to continue my study and I want to do many other things. Thus, marriage is not my first priority.
My boyfriend is a conservative man. He wants to take a dominant position in our relationship. I have to do everything for him if I marry him. If there is an exit, I want to escape. However, at the same time, I wonder whether I can live without him. What kind of person am I? Am I too selfish?? He was born on Nov 5, 1974 and I was born November 26, 1974, at 5:30 AM.
I can do things for him but to be frank, I just want him to do whatever he wants and set him free. And set myself free.
Feeling stifled
Dear Feeling stifled
Although the comparison was workable I do believe that your feelings are warranted. Yes, he and his family will stand in the way of your career and if that is what you want to pursue you are best to back out before it's too late. I believe that your future with this man does show some signs of sorrow as well as deception and that you are best to consider moving on. You actually need someone in your life that will allow you the freedom to live life and who is willing to share the same lifestyle that you desire. You match up well to those born under the signs Aries, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius. Your current boyfriend is very set in his ways and can be a little jealous. Although it could work it would mean that you must sacrifice a great deal in order to take care of his needs. Think carefully before you make your decision and consider the fact that you may be with him out of habit. Reevaluate your motives regarding this connection. You are moving through a period that can make or break this union and I believe that you are ready to move on.

Hi Eugenia
I've written to you several times but as yet have not had an answer, so I'm sure that you must be extremely busy. Your advice is so thorough that I hope you will answer my letter. I have been seeing a Gemini male, born June 13, 1950, 4:30 p.m. We've been intimate but it has been more as a friendship than anything else. We don't live together but we live nearby one another. I've known him for approximately one and a half years. He comes on hot and cold (depending on his stresses of the day). He works in an extremely high stress job. If he's had a couple of beers he confesses that he likes me and that he can't believe that I would care for someone like him. He insists he wants to remain friends, yet when I tell him that I can't be friends and try to let go, he talks me into hanging around. I love this man deeply and have been trying to help him. Deep down I feel that he cares more than as a friend for me and doesn't want me out of his life. If the job has stressed him that particular day he does not want to talk and if he does, he has a tendency of cutting you off, so that all you want to do is get off the phone with him. Am I wasting my time? Should I continue to be friends with him? He continually tells me that I deserve better because he's not very stable emotionally, then when I stay away and then see him again, he's major happy to see me. Please tell me if it's worth my while to continue being friends with him or should I just leave him alone and hope he gets better without me. I'm having a hard time letting go but I need to know if I'm wasting my time. I was born January 7, 1947 at 5:15 PM.
Sabrina
Hi Sabrina
You have to be friends before you become lovers. Friends are there forever but lovers come and go. Wake up and realize that if you enjoy being with this man it really doesn't matter and get over his Gemini aloofness and enjoy the moment. I do believe that he loves you. You match up very well emotionally, physically and mentally - what more do you want. On the down side he falls in an area of your chart that deals with secret affairs so if he isn't including you in the rest of his life you may have a serious problem to deal with and you fall in an area of his chart that deals with communication and dealing with his friends and family so if there is a problem regarding these matters you may want to consider clearing them up before moving forward. Your chart indicates that you will be in a high cycle regarding commitment and getting serious beginning mid summer however that doesn't guarantee that it will be with him. With transiting Saturn beginning to move across the top of his chart this year you may find him more receptive to settling down as well as less stressed because he will finally be getting the recognition he needs to feel good about his work. If you don't find him leaning toward becoming more serious between now and the fall of next year you may want to set your sights on someone new. That being the case you may want to consider someone born under the sign Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn or Pisces.

Dear Eugenia,
I received an email from an astrologer regarding my soul mate. She said that in the next 56 days I need to be in the right place and time in order to meet this person, but the detailed information came with a price tag of ($60). Can you give me a little more insight on where and what I need to look for so I don't to miss my opportunity? I was born Apr.25, 1973 at 2:51pm.

Dear wondering
You currently have Neptune at an adverse aspect to your natal Venus. This can result in attracting someone who is not necessarily good for you. It can be someone who is dishonest, escapist or overindulgent so I don't know where this person is getting her information. I can tell you however that it does not mean that you can't meet someone who is good for you as well if you are careful. Although your chart indicates that June 27 and July 1 are opportune days for love and romance Mercury is in retrograde until July 16 and this usually means that you are best not to start something new. Your chart also indicates that you can find love around the end of September beginning of October and although you will continue to have the poor Neptune transit the Mercury retrograde will not be present. You match up well to those born under the signs Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces. You need to get involved in organizations that you believe in and you will have a better chance of meeting someone with similar interests and beliefs. Where your chart really shines over the course of the next few years is pertaining to your work and money. You should be focusing on climbing the career ladder for now and the rest will fall into place.
I don't blame you for wondering about the email your received. A colleague who works for my syndicate brought this method of selling astrological or psychic goods to my attention earlier this year. She had been sent an email out of the blue and found it alarming because it made her feel compelled to pay money for information she didn't ask for. She contacted me immediately and the following article was written to try to help people like yourself avoid this kind of scam.
Fortune-Telling Scam Hits Web U.S. FEATURE (Evergreen)-- The oldest psychic-astrology scam in the world has hit the Internet. E-mail arrives in your mailbox from someone who claims he has stumbled across your name or e-mail address while looking for a friend. The sender happens to be a "psychic-astrologer" and feels a connection to your name. The so-called psychic knows something big will happen in your future and, for a small fee, he will consult the stars and do a reading. That's what happened to Darla Walker, an employee for a Kansas City-based Internet company. "This stranger approached me by e-mail to say that, when she stumbled on my name in a directory, she got very strong vibrations about something big that was about to happen in my life. She encouraged me to get a full astrological reading immediately and suggested a visit to her Web site where readings are advertised for $60. "The e-mails didn't stop with the first one. She built a sense of impending crisis, telling me I would miss the opportunity of a lifetime if I didn't get a reading immediately. I'm not normally superstitious, but it was effective. I was both curious and concerned, but not desperate enough to risk the money or my credit card information to a complete stranger on the Web." It's hard to remain objective when someone appeals to your sense of curiosity, says Eugenia Last, a professional astrologer with over 25 years of experience. Last studied at The Institute of Astrological Studies and others. Her column, "The Last Word in Astrology," is syndicated all over the world through Universal Press. She has written five books, has her own Web sites and makes frequent media appearances.
