I'm sure you are busy replying letters. I will consider your advice carefully if my letter is answered. I have been going out with my boyfriend for 8 years. I was supposed to marry my boyfriend last year. But, I'm the one who suggested reconsidering our marriage. I am negative to marriage, that is, I was afraid that I might lose my freedom. His parents want us to get married soon. However, considering his conservative parents and my non-conservative parents, I think I will have to face some problems after we get married. Am I too selfish? I'm working in the computing machine area. I want to go abroad to continue my study and I want to do many other things. Thus, marriage is not my first priority.
My boyfriend is a conservative man. He wants to take a dominant position in our relationship. I have to do everything for him if I marry him. If there is an exit, I want to escape. It's about my job. I moved to a new advertising company on March 2. I have been working in an advertising company as a copywriter.
However, because of personal reasons, I changed to the IT industry last year, Oct 2000. I thought I ran out of creativity while working in this advertising company, thus, I joined the business planning department of the IT company. Well, I'm changing again to advertising area due to financial reasons. However, since my company will be in a larger city, it's very different from the atmosphere I'm used to. Although I have settled down in the larger city, I'm afraid of facing the new environment. This new city is still not familiar to me. The new company will demand much more output from me. I have visited your website over the past year and am impressed with both the sensitivity and practicality of your responses. I have something of a dilemma--I know what I want to do but would appreciate your viewpoint on the matter. I am divorced with no children (date of birth 7/30/47, 12:10 a.m.). I want a family very much and have been to a doctor, a specialist, undergone many tests, and have been told that with the doctor's help, if I wish, I can have a baby. I look young for my age, probably 15 or more years younger. I am healthy and want to do this. Some friends have been very encouraging, still others have said that it's a crazy idea at my age. A couple have even said that no man will be interested in me if I have a baby. I tend to think that I wouldn't be interested in a man with such an attitude. I am veryindependent. What do you think?
