I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

I need your help! I have tried for a response before, but came up empty. I adore your column and hope you can advise me on my situation. I am a 38-year old mother of two who has been overweight ever since I had my first child. My father's death (which was close in the proximity of having my children) threw it over the edge. I feel that I need to lose weight and become healthier if not for me, for the sake of my children. I want to see them grow up and be successful. I am planning on starting a diet next week and I was curious about the timing. Does my chart indicate a success for me losing the weight? I have tried all the fad diets and pills, and they just don't work. Thank you for your time!

It is never a good time to start a diet when transiting Jupiter is in conjunction with your natal Sun and Mercury and unfortunately that is the case until the end of May of next year. You must however try to at least maintain your weight during this period without getting discouraged. Therefore yes the diet is a must but coupled with exercise and the expectation that you will not put on any more weight. After that period when transiting Saturn starts to approach your natal Venus followed by your natal Mercury and then the Sun you will have a much better chance of losing the excess weight. This is a long process but certainly a worthwhile one and one that you can achieve. You must however be prepared to incorporate exercise, diet, a means to boost your ego and help you to feel good about yourself again. I suggest joining a group that will give you the support you need along with a fitness center for women where you will get the encouragement as well.

How's this for a love triangle with an international flavor as we were all born in different countries, with two Cancers potentially battling it out? I'm a Cancer born July 9, 1963 at 11:30 am, married for many years to a Gemini man (b. 6/10/1955) who I fear might be seriously interested in another Cancer (someone in our social circle). I understand from mutual friends that he does flirt with this woman when I'm not around and that she is equally interested in him. I learned from one close friend in particular that the only thing stopping her at least is the fact that he is married. I'm hoping that this woman does respect my marriage, but I fear that I may be losing my Gemini man to a possible midlife crisis. It took some doing but I found out that her birthday is 7/5/1959. Your comparison with your husband is better than his comparison with the other Cancer in question. However he has been going through emotional confusion the past couple of years and this has probably contributed to his obvious midlife crisis. Generally your husband is a good guy and even though he is a Gemini and they can tend to wander as well as marry more than once in a life time I have to say with his natal Venus in the sign Taurus it does give him some stability. Your chart indicates that you may be overreacting to this whole situation and that could in fact push him away. There is also evidence that by the fall of this year you will be in a high cycle regarding love and winning back the heart of your husband should you actually have lost it to another. Your Cancer friend is not trustworthy when it comes to respecting your marriage. She may be born under the sign Cancer but unlike you she is predominantly a Leo with her natal Mercury, Venus, Mars and Uranus in that sign and her Moon positioned in Gemini therefore the challenge of the chase is probably what she is enjoying. I need some advice about the direction of my life. I graduated last year and am currently studying for my Masters. However, it is not in the subject I wish to continue in. I feel stuck and as if I have nowhere to go after I finish it, don't want to do any of the jobs I will be qualified for. I am seriously considering going back to studying again next year and hope I will be able to get to where I want to be by doing this. This path is long and by no means certain and I don't know whether to take this chance or to try to apply for jobs I don't really want to do, I feel I would be unhappy. Also I am concerned that my indecision and my continued studying would ruin my chances of happiness with the man I want to be with. Maybe I should just follow him and see what happens for me there? His date of birth is 26/09/1977, I have no time and mine is 16/05/1978, around 7.29 am. Or should I move back to Ireland to my family? I don't think I would be content doing that but I really don't know anymore! Help please Eugenia!!

Whatever educational studies you have completed will never be wasted even if you don?t decide to pursue a career in that field at this time. It is said that the next generation coming into the workforce will have up to five, maybe even more different careers throughout their lifetime. For you to stay in school and gain more knowledge and experience can only help you in the long run, especially if you?re willing to put in the hours and hard work required.
Regarding moving home with your parents, only if it means that it will be easier for you to pursue the subjects that you want to take. You have the planet Neptune transiting through an area of your chart that deals with higher education and this can cause one of two things or possibly both. You will be confused about your educational pursuits, which you are already. You will want to go into a field that is creative or that deals with philosophy, religion etc. If this is the case you may find yourself in this state for the better part of the next eight years. Don?t limit yourself so that you look back on your life when you are old and say could of, would of, should of. You are young and you?ve got your whole life ahead of you and it?s a perfect time to learn all that you can in order to ensure that you will have a successful future.
As for the boyfriend, well the comparison was okay except for the confusion and possible deception at an emotional and intellectual level. I don?t know that I would follow him, unless you will be able to continue your studies at the same time and get the support you need from him to do so. Opportunities for love and romance will be in high gear next year so don?t worry about being on your own for a while. You actually match up well to those born under the signs Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius.
