I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

Dear Eugenia,
I need your help! I have tried for a response before, but came up empty. I adore your column and hope you can advise me on my situation. I am a 38-year old mother of two who has been overweight ever since I had my first child. My father's death (which was close in the proximity of having my children) threw it over the edge. I feel that I need to lose weight and become healthier if not for me, for the sake of my children. I want to see them grow up and be successful. I am planning on starting a diet next week and I was curious about the timing. Does my chart indicate a success for me losing the weight? I have tried all the fad diets and pills, and they just don't work. Thank you for your time!

It is never a good time to start a diet when transiting Jupiter is in conjunction with your natal Sun and Mercury and unfortunately that is the case until the end of May of next year. You must however try to at least maintain your weight during this period without getting discouraged. Therefore yes the diet is a must but coupled with exercise and the expectation that you will not put on any more weight. After that period when transiting Saturn starts to approach your natal Venus followed by your natal Mercury and then the Sun you will have a much better chance of losing the excess weight. This is a long process but certainly a worthwhile one and one that you can achieve. You must however be prepared to incorporate exercise, diet, a means to boost your ego and help you to feel good about yourself again. I suggest joining a group that will give you the support you need along with a fitness center for women where you will get the encouragement as well.

I e-mailed you, back in January, and you answered me, with quite accurate answers. My question right now is, what the heck is going on with my health, and money or to better phrase Andre` and my money. First, I'll tell you about my health. First of all in mid-May my bottom tooth became loose, and fell out. Then on April 26, I broke my collar from working out, with weights, and all the tone I had built up were gone after 3 weeks. Andre' and had been saving for our first holiday in 2 yrs. All of sudden every thing started going wrong with our car, eating up our savings. Then I started feeling really sick, so Andre' said let's just stay home, and I'll use the rest of our savings, stay home and I'll take care of you. I don't mean to flit back and forth, but in the mean time I was going from doctor to emergency here in Kingston. I'm sorry to take so much of your time, but it's a weird time for us. Finally on the 24th of July, I ended up in emergency again and was sent home with Gravol. I spent the 2 days in bed, desperately ill. Andre' wanted to stay home, I wanted to visit our family, both come from the same place, and there were 2 hospitals there, (about 40 miles in difference). When we arrived near his parents home I had to "pee", I saw myself in the bathroom mirror and knew immediately " I had to go to the Hospital". I was examined and stayed over night, then was sent to another hospital, by ambulance, 40 miles away for emergency surgery. I had an abscess on my bowels, perforated intestines, and to many other things that would take too long to explain, in the already "too long" e-mail that I'm taking much of your time with? Finally, Eugenia, I flat lined, at hospital and am very glad to be here. I would like to know if you see in my health area any more serious problems, or was that enough for a while. My next question won't take so long. Andre' has asked me to marry him, in 2004, if you answer Yes, what month and time should it be? If your answer No, please let me know why. My birth date is January 31,1949, birth time 1:31 a.m. his birth date is May 09,1955, 5:30 a.m.

Your chart does show some evidence of chronic health problems that were set off this past year however they appear to have cleared up mid summer. Should you continue to have problems there is another area in your chart that could result in continuing troubles especially where blood disorders, allergies, skin, bones and teeth problems are concerned. All these little irritations can end up causing problems with work. The other scenarios that can happen with the type of transits you are experiencing are a series of job changes, a change in your status (marriage) and a change of residence. All in all however I do feel that your chart is not bad and that with proper care, diet and exercise you should be able to build your strength back up and continue to live a normal life again.
You match up to your Taurus man rather well and I would consider getting married May 1st, June 12th or July 17th. I really didn't see any red flags in the comparison and in felt that emotionally, and physically you were quite in synch. Mentally you won't always feel the same way about things but I have yet to see a comparison that indicates that the couple will agree on everything.

I am really confused. I dislike my dad's partner - Unfortunately intensely. This started shortly after he met her 2 years after he and Mum separated, now 8 years ago, when I was 10. Until recently she treated me considerately, but I continued to dislike her. Now she has openly shown an aggressive dislike of me. I am now older and have decided to write down my dislikes of her. Today she refused to cooperate with this saying do what you like I am not interested. I live with her, my dad and their son, Giles, my brother. Dad is miserable and I don't want to split them up (as threatened by her) but I can't change the way I feel fundamentally. Any suggestions? I was born June 2, 1988 at 3:30 PM.

Do you give advice to men in distress? I should wait for your reply, but I am in need of immediate advice. I am 55, born February 23, 1951 at 9:30 AM and I have an 18 old son, a 35 year old partner and our son of 6. Eldest son and partner don't get on. After years of aggression by him, eldest son attempted to ameliorate situation by beginning to be civil to her, but too late it seems. Now his attempts, clumsy though they may be are rebuffed by her. I think she is being unreasonable, but I appreciate she is very hurt. I am piggy in the middle, as usual. Not the first time (third marriage/relationship). Help!!!

I tired to email both of you to find out when your stepmother/partner was born considering she is the main issue but your emails bounced back to me therefore I am combining your emails and looking at your charts to see if I can help.
As a father you should have nipped that nastiness that your son continually shoved in your partners face a long time ago. He may not have liked her but that didn't mean that he had to abuse her and at the same time hurt you. Your son is vocal and can be unpredictable and act in haste saying things that are hurtful. He is intelligent, charming and knows how to manipulate situations which is precisely what he has done, and you have let him. As a Pisces father and partner you have been too soft trying to preserve peace with both your wife and your son. This has probably made you appear weak in the eyes of your partner causing her to lose respect and at this point probably not really caring all that much if both you and your son leave. Without her chart it is impossible for me to tell you exactly where she is at or how strong your astrological comparison is however you can check that out yourself if you go to my www.astroadvice.com web site and run a compatibility test. If you measure up to 70% or higher you probably have a chance to turn things around.
I fear however that with the onslaught of transiting Saturn moving in to oppose your Pisces planets you are about to face some limitations that could easily lead to another failed marriage. If your partner is a Sagittarius or Capricorn I imagine she has had enough and is heading out the door. You may want to consider doing some very fast-talking and decision making if you want to give a last attempt at rectifying this problem.
With the cooperation of your Gemini son who has not been a stellar addition to the family you may pull this off. He may be trying to make amends but short of him moving out it may not be enough. Being 18 now he should be close to pursuing higher education so possibly he can go away for his next level of schooling. It is obvious that he is smart and that he should be continuing his education so please consider this as it is probably the best option if you want to make you marriage work. If your son doesn't want to move out or go away to school remind him that he owes you and your partner for putting up with all the crap he has dished out the past ten years.
