For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

I need your help! I have tried for a response before, but came up empty. I adore your column and hope you can advise me on my situation. I am a 38-year old mother of two who has been overweight ever since I had my first child. My father's death (which was close in the proximity of having my children) threw it over the edge. I feel that I need to lose weight and become healthier if not for me, for the sake of my children. I want to see them grow up and be successful. I am planning on starting a diet next week and I was curious about the timing. Does my chart indicate a success for me losing the weight? I have tried all the fad diets and pills, and they just don't work. Thank you for your time!

It is never a good time to start a diet when transiting Jupiter is in conjunction with your natal Sun and Mercury and unfortunately that is the case until the end of May of next year. You must however try to at least maintain your weight during this period without getting discouraged. Therefore yes the diet is a must but coupled with exercise and the expectation that you will not put on any more weight. After that period when transiting Saturn starts to approach your natal Venus followed by your natal Mercury and then the Sun you will have a much better chance of losing the excess weight. This is a long process but certainly a worthwhile one and one that you can achieve. You must however be prepared to incorporate exercise, diet, a means to boost your ego and help you to feel good about yourself again. I suggest joining a group that will give you the support you need along with a fitness center for women where you will get the encouragement as well.

I will be marrying a German guy this September. His birthday is August 28, 1970, at 6:20 pm. My date of birth is May 5, 1975, at 3:00 PM. Our wedding is scheduled for Sept 23, Sunday. We've been going out for 1 yr and 2 months and overcome our language barriers. We finally decided to get married. However, what I'd like to know is...should I marry him?
When I first met him, I was attracted to him. He spoke to me first in poor English and that's how he took my heart away. He's tall and good-looking. He's always nice to women so I'm always worried. Also, he doesn't tell me what he thinks. We have been living together for about one year. Since both of us are working, when we get home, he just stays in his computer room. About sex, I always have to ask him because he doesn't take initiative. We have sex about 4 to 5 times a month. Sometimes, I want to have it but it seems that he doesn't care. I feel like I'm asking too much. And I'm worried...
However, I saw him browsing through porn sites several times. Plus, when we need to make a decision, he always lets me do everything. It doesn't matter whether he likes it or not. I don't know why either one of you is pushing to get married. It is apparent that you have issues to resolve before you decide to step into matrimony. The comparison does indicate a lack of sexual attraction. His chart denotes sexual confusion at an emotional level with his natal Moon square his natal Jupiter in his eighth house. With his natal Venus in his eighth house as well sextile to his natal Mars I would imagine that he definitely has sexual desires. The question is how they manifest themselves with his natal Saturn and his natal Neptune squaring his natal Mars. He needs to determine what turns him on and whether or not you can provide him with what he desires and vise versa. I suggest that you get into sexual counseling as a couple before you take the next step. Communication is required in order to sort through your problems. It doesn't mean that your relationship can't work but like any other relationship nothing is perfect and it's best to sort out what you can before you decide to make a life long commitment to one another.

AAAARRGG! Not another relationship question?!
I've written a few times without receiving a reply but persist out of dire need. I'm at my wit's end about what to do.I am in the 20th year of marriage to a man I wonder if I ever truly loved. We have three children. Over the past 5 or 6 years, I feel I have changed a great deal. I no longer want the same things, nor am I happy to settle for a mediocre relationship "for the sake of the children". I know I should listen to my heart and question my mind but I feel like I've turned it over and over until I can't seem to decide. Am I destined to go through life biding my time or am I waiting for the time to be right? I sometimes feel like I don't know anything anymore and am just letting life drag me along. What do the stars say? My birthday is March 28, 1961. My husband's is October 17, 1945.

I understand your dilemma, however there are a lot of variables involved in your case. You didn't mention how old your children are, therefore it is hard to know what your responsibilities at this time are. Your comparison with your Libra husband is mediocre. I do believe that at one time you did have a passionate connection but that was long ago. I feel that you have both been very limiting for one another and that maybe the best thing to do is to discuss your options. Your husband does have his natal Sun squaring his natal Mars and this can cause him to have a temper if it falls in a certain area of his chart however without his time of birth I can't tell how this aspect will manifest itself. If he hasn't shown this trait I believe that you should be able to make some decisions as a couple that will allow you both greater freedom to come and go as you please or to actually get on with your lives. The children however should be your first concern, so whatever is best for them at this time is the bottom line.
