I'm not sure if this message qualifies for submission, but here is my question. My boyfriend is a Capricorn and I am an Aries, which do not match according to Zodiac signs. But when I complete the romance compatibility we match 99%. So which is right? My birthday is 4/8/70 2pm, His is 1/8/65 don't know time. We don't suffer from the problems stated under a Zodiac match, Aries spending too much and Capricorn being frugal, in fact it is opposite for us. I just want to understand how the zodiac and charts differ so much.

I'm not the least bit surprised that you match up to your Capricorn partner nor that you have some role reversals regarding frugality. Your chart denotes that you only have your natal Sun in Aries and natal Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars and Saturn in the frugal sign Taurus. Your boyfriend only has his natal Sun in the sign Capricorn with his Mercury and Venus in the more easy-going, spend if you want, sign Sagittarius. The fact that your partner also has his Moon and Saturn in the sign Pisces, his Mars, Uranus and Pluto in Virgo with his Jupiter in Taurus and Neptune in Scorpio gives him just enough down to earth qualities to make your relationship sparkle. What is your opinion about having Saturn in one's 7th House? I have had such bad luck with love relationships that it feels almost hopeless. Does Saturn have anything to do with it?

Having Saturn in your seventh house can bring stability, security and lasting love or it can cause the lack there of. It is usually dependent on the way the rest of your natal planets aspect your natal Saturn as well as how the transiting planets are positioned to your natal Saturn at any given time that will determine which way the pendulum will swing. On the whole your natal chart indicates that you have your natal Saturn opposite your natal Sun, Uranus and Pluto and trine your natal Mars and Neptune. This is not all that bad and certainly wouldn't cause a total lack of romantic opportunity. However, you also have your natal Moon in your seventh squaring your natal Jupiter and opposite your natal Sun, Uranus and Pluto. This to me would be the greater cause of relationships not working out for one reason or another. You are currently in a high cycle regarding relationships but if you aren't getting out and meeting new people it won't happen. You match up well to those born under the signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces. Part of your problem as well is the build up of planets in Virgo in your first house opposite your seventh house. You tend to be careful in love and are not likely to settle for anyone that doesn't live up to your standard. You are more likely to meet potential partners while traveling, taking educational or interest courses or through friends. Stop being so hard on yourself. There is nothing wrong with waiting for the right person.

I understand why you are so confused. The comparison with your old boyfriend had substance but it wasn't the most favorable. However the comparison with your current boyfriend lacked substance but was better in terms of getting along. Unfortunately you are unsatisfied with your current relationship because it isn't fulfilling and that is okay. It is quite normal to revert back to memories about past relationships but that does not mean that you should take a backward step. What you really need to do is face the music and move on. Your chart indicates that you should be out socializing and meeting new people. Right now you can't really meet anyone because your current boyfriend is blocking that. Stop and think about your future and get on with your life. You match up well to those born under the signs Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius. Your ex partner falls in an area of your chart that deals with dead end projects so don't bother going there and your current falls in an area that deals with your home environment however he poorly aspects the area of your chart that deals with marriage and partnerships.
