This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.

Hi Eugenia

I follow your show and read your astrological predictions each day. My husband left me cold turkey for another lady last June 2002 although we had been living apart since last January 2002. We had talked about getting back together so needless to say I was totally devastated. He is a Taurus, May 14, 1962, time not known. Since that time I have had many readings done and each one seems different. Almost all say that he will be back, the latest one saying possibly in the Spring of 2003. I read that a person's astrological sign changes every four minutes. If this is so, how do astrologers read your horoscope and why are they so varied. Please answer, as I would really like to know what will become of our marriage. I have now filed for divorce but I still love him very much. Is there still a chance for us? I was born March 10, 1951, at 10 am.

It isn't that a persons sign changes every four minutes it is that the planets are in constant motion therefore if your birth time is off by more than four minutes it could make a difference to the outcome of your natal chart. You have a very good comparison with your ex however you didn't submit when his lady friend was born therefore I don't know if she matches up just as well or better. Based on the information that you gave me I feel that if there is going to be a reunion between the two of you it will be between May 27th and July 20th. These things don't just happen however. Number one I would not be proceeding with the divorce given the fact that you aren't sure that you want the relationship to end. Instead I would be opening up communication with this man to find out exactly where he is at and what he wants. Your ex has been going through a very confusing period and I believe that the past two and a half years he has been depressed and unable to make good choices. Don't totally through away what you have built as a couple by jumping into divorce. Slow down and find out what's left before you move in that direction. If it doesn't work out between you your chart does indicate other suitors so keep your eyes open for someone who can fill the void that you are feeling. Either way I do not see you as being alone.

Article: Single for So Long

Dear Eugenia,

I am in a long distance relationship with a man 5 hours from me (Oct. 24, 1979) and I am wondering how we can make it work or if it really could work since I don't have the time (nor money) to waste on unworthy causes.

I feel very strongly about him. We've met twice & the first time we were both out of sorts. Last time we had a great time! I've never had an online relationship but I do understand that a lot of work is involved. Commitment, sacrifices & compromising are the top 3 things I can think of. I'm afraid that I won't be able to provide my part of the bargain as well as he could. I'm afraid that after some time we'll be too tired to continue this relationship & feel that we have -really- wasted our time & money. I haven't been able to find someone as compatible with me as he in my own town. I've been single for over a year now. I'm afraid I might only be interested in him because he's interested in me too, just because I've been single for so long (I don't think that's very truthful though).

The only way that an online relationship can work is if both partners plan on being together down the line. We're not dating yet but we both want to move back to BC in the near future. I have so many fears. What about my education? My career? What if we're only compatible with distance between us, & then we rip each other to shreds once we're together-together? ARGH!!

Could you offer me a bit of astrological advice? I do know that all but 2 of his & my astro houses are located under the same sign. Any words of wisdom would be really appreciated!

The comparison was okay. Keep in mind that in order to have a relationship work it takes work. People always think that if they fall in love that's all it takes but unfortunately a relationship probably takes more time, effort and work then anything else you do in life. I believe that he is someone who can help you achieve some of your dreams, hopes and wishes, however that doesn't mean that you will end up together forever. More so than having a long term or everlasting union a relationship should be based on how much you learn from one another, enjoy one another and compliment one another. You have time to kill right now as the next time you are in a really high cycle for love is next year. As for now you should be enjoying whatever time you do get to spend with one another. Just because you live a distance doesn't mean that you can't do things on the cheap. You'd probably spend just as much cash staying at home as you would staying at his place or vise versa. If you really enjoy one another's company you'll find ways to spend more time together while you discover each other's likes, dislikes, needs and desires. Don't be impatient love and relationships take time.

Article: No Permanent Plague

How come every time I meet someone, it always has a bad ending...I have been seeing a lot of different people up until now, but it is always me who gets hurt, not me hurting others...And a lot of them were not very nice to me. I was always nice to them...maybe that's why everything has always gone this way.. Now it is not easy to see someone again... Thus, I'm afraid of hanging out with a guy even though he is nice...I'm afraid of the endings being bad...Why is this? When can I meet the right person? I was born on Oct 27, 1978, at 5:30-6:00 PM...Is this too common story?

I'm not surprised that you have experienced some difficult love situations over the past several years considering your chart has and does show confusion, deception and having trouble choosing the right partners. This will continue to plague you a while longer however that doesn't mean that you can't go out and meet potential partners. My suggestion is that you only look for friendship at first and that you develop your relationship with the next partner slowly. There is much to be said about being friends before you become lovers. As we move into the final quarter of next year and throughout 2002 you will be in a high cycle for love, romance and marriage and this is when you can move toward becoming more than just friends. What this means is that between now and that time you should go out socially with friends, meet new people and discover what qualities you really want your life long partner to have.
