This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.

Dear Eugenia,

I am a 44 year old female born December 22, 1958 at 10 pm and currently residing in New York. I have recently become involved in a long distance relationship with a younger man (he resides in North Carolina). I grew up in his hometown and visit it quite frequently, at least once every other month. Not only is he younger but also he is a Gemini (DOB 6/17/74). Which I have been told he is not compatible with my sign and to steer clear. Yet our time together is very special. He is a great conversationalist, while am a good listener. He appreciates the fact that I only offer advice when he requests it. I find him highly intelligent and that is most important to me. The problem is I am always drawn to Gemini's, if I would walk in a room full of available bachelors the one that I would be most attracted to would turn out to be a Gemini. I have dated several and even married one. Is there something wrong with me or is there a reason why this type of man seems to draw me out?

Dear Wondering

You were born with the sign Aquarius in an area of your chart that deals with partnerships and relationships therefore the Air signs Gemini, Libra and Aquarius are not bad for you. I do think that Geminis are particularly good because they fall in an area of people who can help you achieve your dreams, hopes and wishes for the future. You can learn from them and prosper because of them. With your Sun and Venus in the sign Capricorn you will always do better with partners who are much younger or much older than you are and with your Mercury and Saturn in Sagittarius you will always be attracted to Gemini's or men who are intellectual. You will be in a much higher cycle for love beginning this fall so keep yourself available. Although the comparison with your friend was okay I do think that if you spent more time with him you would find him lacking in some areas. It appears to be more of a mental connection than physical and I would be inclined to keep him as a friend. You are going through your second half-life Saturn and this is probably making you think more about settling down again. Don't be too quick you have plenty of time and I do believe that Mr. Right is just around the corner.

Hi Eugenia

I've written to you several times but as yet have not had an answer, so I'm sure that you must be extremely busy. Your advice is so thorough that I hope you will answer my letter. I have been seeing a Gemini male, born June 13, 1950, 4:30 p.m. We've been intimate but it has been more as a friendship than anything else. We don't live together but we live nearby one another. I've known him for approximately one and a half years. He comes on hot and cold (depending on his stresses of the day). He works in an extremely high stress job. If he's had a couple of beers he confesses that he likes me and that he can't believe that I would care for someone like him. He insists he wants to remain friends, yet when I tell him that I can't be friends and try to let go, he talks me into hanging around. I love this man deeply and have been trying to help him. Deep down I feel that he cares more than as a friend for me and doesn't want me out of his life. If the job has stressed him that particular day he does not want to talk and if he does, he has a tendency of cutting you off, so that all you want to do is get off the phone with him. Am I wasting my time? Should I continue to be friends with him? He continually tells me that I deserve better because he's not very stable emotionally, then when I stay away and then see him again, he's major happy to see me. Please tell me if it's worth my while to continue being friends with him or should I just leave him alone and hope he gets better without me. Hi Sabrina

You have to be friends before you become lovers. Friends are there forever but lovers come and go. Wake up and realize that if you enjoy being with this man it really doesn't matter and get over his Gemini aloofness and enjoy the moment. I do believe that he loves you. You match up very well emotionally, physically and mentally - what more do you want. On the down side he falls in an area of your chart that deals with secret affairs so if he isn't including you in the rest of his life you may have a serious problem to deal with and you fall in an area of his chart that deals with communication and dealing with his friends and family so if there is a problem regarding these matters you may want to consider clearing them up before moving forward. Your chart indicates that you will be in a high cycle regarding commitment and getting serious beginning mid summer however that doesn't guarantee that it will be with him. With transiting Saturn beginning to move across the top of his chart this year you may find him more receptive to settling down as well as less stressed because he will finally be getting the recognition he needs to feel good about his work. If you don't find him leaning toward becoming more serious between now and the fall of next year you may want to set your sights on someone new. That being the case you may want to consider someone born under the sign Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn or Pisces.

Hi Eugenia

I know I'm a Leo born August 22, 1942, at 12:42 PM and for the most part I have all of the traits, however, I seem to lack self-confidence in-group and social situations. I seem to be fine in a one on one...is this an astrological issue that is happening with my sign at this time?

Secondly, it seems that I am having more difficulty in focusing on where I want to go in my life... I have been recently working as a consultant in the accounting profession. My contract ended in February 2003. I felt burned out, and decided to take some time off. I am now having these anxiety attacks as to what my future holds.

Do I sell my current Condo home and move to a retirement park setting (Mfg. Home) this is all for financial reasons.. Do I continue to work on a consulting basis (assuming I can find a job)? What does my future hold as far as real estate, job, and investments, health... I know I'm all over the map, but thanks for your help.

Hi Aussie

Yes you are a Leo in Character, looks, and love etc. but you think and act like a Virgo especially when dealing with groups etc and especially over the course of the past couple of years while transiting Saturn was adversely positioned to your natal Virgo planets. To top it off your natal Saturn is also adversely positioned to your natal Virgo planets as well making this even more significant as of late. The good news is that Saturn is moving off mid to late June and it will give you some relief in this area of your life. You just went through your second Saturn return about a year to a year and a half ago and this is why you are feeling the urgency for change in your life. You have been re-evaluating what you've done and you are looking to the future regarding what to do now. Changes in your home environment are present over the course of the next year and a half so you don't have to move immediately if you don't want to. As a matter of fact I believe that you will probably continue to take on contracts until the end of this year or even possibly the spring of next when you will feel that you are in a better financial position. During the second half of next year you will have a better chance to do well with real estate. Where health is concerned you may have some problems regarding your stomach, skin, bones and teeth or arthritis over the course of the next year especially if you are under stress. As long as you keep on top of any of these minor or chronic ailments everything should be just fine.
