I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

I am a 44 year old female born December 22, 1958 at 10 pm and currently residing in New York. I have recently become involved in a long distance relationship with a younger man (he resides in North Carolina). I grew up in his hometown and visit it quite frequently, at least once every other month. Not only is he younger but also he is a Gemini (DOB 6/17/74). Which I have been told he is not compatible with my sign and to steer clear. Yet our time together is very special. He is a great conversationalist, while am a good listener. He appreciates the fact that I only offer advice when he requests it. I find him highly intelligent and that is most important to me. The problem is I am always drawn to Gemini's, if I would walk in a room full of available bachelors the one that I would be most attracted to would turn out to be a Gemini. I have dated several and even married one. Is there something wrong with me or is there a reason why this type of man seems to draw me out?

You were born with the sign Aquarius in an area of your chart that deals with partnerships and relationships therefore the Air signs Gemini, Libra and Aquarius are not bad for you. I do think that Geminis are particularly good because they fall in an area of people who can help you achieve your dreams, hopes and wishes for the future. You can learn from them and prosper because of them. With your Sun and Venus in the sign Capricorn you will always do better with partners who are much younger or much older than you are and with your Mercury and Saturn in Sagittarius you will always be attracted to Gemini's or men who are intellectual. You will be in a much higher cycle for love beginning this fall so keep yourself available. Although the comparison with your friend was okay I do think that if you spent more time with him you would find him lacking in some areas. It appears to be more of a mental connection than physical and I would be inclined to keep him as a friend. You are going through your second half-life Saturn and this is probably making you think more about settling down again. Don't be too quick you have plenty of time and I do believe that Mr. Right is just around the corner.

I'm born Mar 3, 1962, at 6:30 am. My wife: Apr 20, 1964. My son: Jul 9, 1984, at 4:15 PM. My daughter: Oct 23, 1992, at 4:40 PM.
I only received elementary school education and moved to the city to work in a factory. I studied by myself, passed exams and graduated from high school. The medicine company I used to work for 10 yr. was bankrupted and I had to sell my house and everything in order to pay the loans because my colleagues ran away to foreign countries. I still haven't paid all the debts. It's been 5 yrs and I have been violently abused by creditors. As a result, I am addicted to alcohol that harms my health and I even have to see a psychiatrist. My family had to move to a small house and my wife is working from 9:00 am till 11:00pm. It is needless to say how much my family is suffering. I lost confidence in myself. I avoid meeting people. I cannot sleep because of the fear about my future. I can only sleep 2 to 3 hours at night. Since 1997 May, I have been working in a real estate company. I'm writing to you because my life is dreadful. If the past was my fate, then I'd like to know about my future. Of course, I know I have to make my efforts but at the moment, I'm lost. Eugenia... I don't know this topic is ok to be consulted, but I wish I would get some hopes from you. I'm not sure whether you can read my letter since you are too far away, but just giving me a reply will help me a lot. I believe you'll reply to my letter even though you are busy.

Your family's charts indicate that their lives and home environment will improve next summer however in your chart it appears to be before that time. You have been going through very difficult transits that were unfortunate due to the deceptive individuals you were working with. Your chart does indicate that regardless of what actually did occur you would be penalized for the bad debt. You could have been institutionalized had you not been honest. Although you are still going through many changes I believe that over the course of the next two to three years your life will improve dramatically. You should be able to get yourself back on track. You do have to be careful who you deal with however because you were born with an aspect in your chart that will almost always lead to deceptive partnerships, friendships etc. You are best to do your own thing and to work by yourself. Your addiction problem is the first thing that you have to deal with. One of the reasons you aren't sleeping has to do with the alcohol content in your body. It has become a viscous circle. You drink to relax, forget and sleep and those are the very things that the alcohol will disrupt. In fact it is probably the main source of your agitation and inability to sleep. I suggest that the first thing you do is to seek help for your addiction. You have a strong will and a decent chart. You are bright, sensitive and you have a family that needs to know that you can pull yourself out of this mental depression and addiction. It may not be easy but if you act now and join a group that deals with addictions you will have your problem under control in no time and you will be able to take advantage of the good transits coming up in your chart next year. The fact that you reached out to me is the first step. Get yourself moving, motivated and in control. I know you can do it. I suggest that you try to start a small in house business on the side and build it up to a point that your wife will be able to stay at home and run that business for you in the future. If your real estate job is not bringing in enough money starting looking for a better position, but don't quit what you are doing unless you have another job to go to. Once you stop drinking you will be surprised how much you can accomplish and how much more money you will have. Stop thinking about what you must do, it's time to take action.

My wife of 11 years passed away this past September 10th, 2002 born 7/4/1954 named Yolanda. A beautiful Cancerian that touched my life in ways that I still ache for. She was a liver transplant patient that did not take so we had her for an additional year since the operation. It was the most painful experience of my life to say the least. I have since regained my strength to move on and follow the path set for me by the stars. At times I find myself disoriented. I guess it's that I see all that is around me and everyone so differently now that it throws me off.
I try to see other women and find that I look for the qualities or even passion that Yolanda had with me. I look for it in their eyes and their way of being. We had so so much in common music you can name it. We met as performers and fell in love a love like no other for me. I find myself analyzing everything that I do with a different purpose, Job, Friends, Hobbies, etc. It is so hard to not have her in my life. It is the equivalent of living in the dark without the sun and we all need the sun. But my will gets me past to see the next day. Will I see or feel relief from what I am going through. I was born November 19, 1958, at 8:38 am.

You had a wonderful comparison with Yolanda and a very special connection, and you should be thankful for that, but you should also realize that each connection that we make in life is unique and that you can and will meet someone who will touch your heart deeply but the time is not right just yet. You still need to grieve and for now friendships and social acquaintances is all that you should expect. This is a time that you must get busy doing things to benefit others. You should be joining an organization you believe in that may even have something to do with fundraising for the live transplant society. You have so much to deal with regarding your loss that you can't expect to not be looking for Yolanda in everyone you meet and that's not fair to the women you date. A good friendship will help you get through your troubled times and helping or donating your time to a worthy cause will lead you out of the dark. By this time next year you will be in a much better position to find love. Move slowly and give yourself some time to heal. Yolanda fell in an area of your chart that deals with dead-end projects and this usually stops a relationship one way or another, you will not get along which wasn't the case with you and Yolanda or the love of your life is taken from you early, which it was. In time you will be able to separate your deep love for Yolanda from the relationship that will be in your future but you cannot replace what you had. Once you realize that you will be able to move forward. You match up well to those born under the signs Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Scorpio and Pisces.
