I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

I am a 44 year old female born December 22, 1958 at 10 pm and currently residing in New York. I have recently become involved in a long distance relationship with a younger man (he resides in North Carolina). I grew up in his hometown and visit it quite frequently, at least once every other month. Not only is he younger but also he is a Gemini (DOB 6/17/74). Which I have been told he is not compatible with my sign and to steer clear. Yet our time together is very special. He is a great conversationalist, while am a good listener. He appreciates the fact that I only offer advice when he requests it. I find him highly intelligent and that is most important to me. The problem is I am always drawn to Gemini's, if I would walk in a room full of available bachelors the one that I would be most attracted to would turn out to be a Gemini. I have dated several and even married one. Is there something wrong with me or is there a reason why this type of man seems to draw me out?

You were born with the sign Aquarius in an area of your chart that deals with partnerships and relationships therefore the Air signs Gemini, Libra and Aquarius are not bad for you. I do think that Geminis are particularly good because they fall in an area of people who can help you achieve your dreams, hopes and wishes for the future. You can learn from them and prosper because of them. With your Sun and Venus in the sign Capricorn you will always do better with partners who are much younger or much older than you are and with your Mercury and Saturn in Sagittarius you will always be attracted to Gemini's or men who are intellectual. You will be in a much higher cycle for love beginning this fall so keep yourself available. Although the comparison with your friend was okay I do think that if you spent more time with him you would find him lacking in some areas. It appears to be more of a mental connection than physical and I would be inclined to keep him as a friend. You are going through your second half-life Saturn and this is probably making you think more about settling down again. Don't be too quick you have plenty of time and I do believe that Mr. Right is just around the corner.

I have read some of your responses to the letters posted in your new advice feature, and I'm impressed with your knowledgeable and common sense advice. I am wondering if you can help me, as well. I am a professional Leo woman, who was born on July 25, 1962, 11:46pm. I have recently moved back to my home state for two reasons: I have just gotten a great job with a software company here and I am also looking for a fresh new start as I have just gotten a divorce from my ex-husband, born August 25, 1953, 5:55am. My marriage was never really great to begin with, but had gotten especially bad during the last two years, as my ex-husband became increasingly more and more verbally and mentally abusive. I left him when he started becoming physically abusive towards me and threatened my life. After I left him, I spent the next year and a half-alone trying to re-build my life and heal from my emotional wounds. I realized through therapy and self-examination that most of my relationships with men in the past have been emotionally destructive. Now that I am getting settled in my new home and job and am starting to feel better about myself, I want to start dating again. Just recently I've met a nice man through a friend and he and I just started seeing each other. He and I seem to get along well and have a lot in common; also my friend tells me that he is a genuinely nice guy. What worries me is that this man is a Virgo, like my ex-husband. I've noticed in my self-analysis that although I'm a Leo, most of my long-lasting relationships have been with Virgo men. This new man's birth data is Sept. 20, 1960 (birth time unknown). Is this new relationship destined to become destructive and emotionally unfulfilling like my marriage and past relationships were, or can I finally let the past go and look forward to new love, new life, and much better things in my future?

A person's chart is as individualistic as a finger print. Your ex husband is really quite different from your new man and so is your comparison with both. You really matched up very poorly to your ex and I'm not surprised that it didn't last. Your ex only has his natal Sun in the sign Virgo and the rest of the planets in his chart are spread out between the signs Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra and Pisces. Your new man on the other hand has his natal Sun, Moon and Pluto in the sign Virgo with some planets falling in the signs Gemini, Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Capricorn. Your chart indicates that you do have a problem where relationships are concerned and that you are prone to picking poorly or for the wrong reason. You do match up far better to your new Virgo and I do believe that you can enjoy an honest and open relationship with him. You will be in an exceptionally high cycle for love during the later half of next year and the first half of the year 2002. This can mean that this relationship will develop into something very strong or you will meet someone new who will capture your heart. Please get a comparison done if you do decide to date someone new to ensure that you aren't picking the wrong partner.

Today, I clicked on the "Community" Section for the first time on a whim, and saw the report on Steven Spielberg, which I greatly enjoyed. I would be very interested to know what the stars have planned for his sister Anne Spielberg. Anne is a talented screenwriter who earned an Oscar nomination for her screenplay "Big." I also have a specific question about odd coincidences, or synchronicityand my career.
I am a screenwriter, and I am planning to politely approach Mr. Spielberg for his advice on a mystical TV series I have created. I have never met him, but he has popped up now and then in my family's social circle (which is political, not Hollywood) in recent years. Very recently, I met someone who is a colleague of his sister Anne! And then, today, I came across your report on Steven Spielberg.
My question specifically is: Is there something to be gained by approaching these prominent and important people for advice on my project?
I enjoy your site tremendously. It is only in the past year that I have discovered what wonderful tool astrology is.I am a Virgo born September 12, 1963, at 11:56 AM. Unfortunately, I did not clue in to the significance of the Jupiter transit through my house of career and in time to make the fullest use of it. Timing, as you say, is everything. By the way Anne was born December 25, 1949.

Jupiter is transiting your eighth house of contracts and agreements so it's not a bad time to do deals however that is usually if they are already in the making. Consider the fact that Jupiter will be well aspected to your natal Mars in the eleventh followed by your natal Neptune in your twelfth and this can be a good time to do some behind the scenes investigating and diplomatic approaches to those who are in a position to help you get ahead. With the continuing movement of both Saturn and Jupiter over the course of the next several years you could actually do quite well. The groundwork you lay down now will help you reach higher levels later on. You are up for sudden changes especially where travel, communication and publishing is concerned so don't hold back now. You will have to be careful from a legal standpoint and make sure that your work is well protected before you decide to divulge your ideas.
Regarding Anne, she is going through a very creative cycle at the moment and with the type of chart she has I believe that she will probably reach another accolade in her life over the course of the next couple of years. Without her birth time it is difficult to be specific but she does have a marvelous chart and although there do appear to be some setbacks personally and emotionally while transiting Saturn is moving through Gemini I believe that she will still achieve with the aid of Jupiter moving through Cancer over the course of the upcoming year.
