Dear Eugenia,

I am a 44 year old female born December 22, 1958 at 10 pm and currently residing in New York. I have recently become involved in a long distance relationship with a younger man (he resides in North Carolina). I grew up in his hometown and visit it quite frequently, at least once every other month. Not only is he younger but also he is a Gemini (DOB 6/17/74). Which I have been told he is not compatible with my sign and to steer clear. Yet our time together is very special. He is a great conversationalist, while am a good listener. He appreciates the fact that I only offer advice when he requests it. I find him highly intelligent and that is most important to me. The problem is I am always drawn to Gemini's, if I would walk in a room full of available bachelors the one that I would be most attracted to would turn out to be a Gemini. I have dated several and even married one. Is there something wrong with me or is there a reason why this type of man seems to draw me out?

You were born with the sign Aquarius in an area of your chart that deals with partnerships and relationships therefore the Air signs Gemini, Libra and Aquarius are not bad for you. I do think that Geminis are particularly good because they fall in an area of people who can help you achieve your dreams, hopes and wishes for the future. You can learn from them and prosper because of them. With your Sun and Venus in the sign Capricorn you will always do better with partners who are much younger or much older than you are and with your Mercury and Saturn in Sagittarius you will always be attracted to Gemini's or men who are intellectual. You will be in a much higher cycle for love beginning this fall so keep yourself available. Although the comparison with your friend was okay I do think that if you spent more time with him you would find him lacking in some areas. It appears to be more of a mental connection than physical and I would be inclined to keep him as a friend. You are going through your second half-life Saturn and this is probably making you think more about settling down again. Article: Walking Away

Dear Eugenia,

I have two babies, a 36-month-old boy and a 20-month old girl. Their father has been an addiction of mine for four years. Just when I think I have finally made it to a place in my life where I can let go of him; I am pregnant again. I am torn between continuing in this one-sided relationship for the sake of our children, who adore him, while having another baby; or not; and disconnecting from him completely. I was born 7/6/65 at 5:30 EST and he was born 1/20/63 at 8:30p.m. PST. I fear that if I don?t walk away soon, I never will; but I feel like it is better the devil you know, then the devil you don?t know. I would really appreciate some guidance. I am afraid I won?t make the best decision for my two babies. He isn?t very kind to me; he is very abusive, distrustful and threatening. It has taken a long time and a lot of distance to break down, a little, his control of my emotions and feelings of self worth. I really need some ones insight into his character strengths and weaknesses and what is in store for our future.

I can see your dilemma. I call this set up meeting your messiah. In other words you are so connected to this man you can?t help yourself and yet he is not good for you. The comparison was quite something, filled with love, hate, passion, deception, sorrow and so on. It is apparent that when he is feeling guilty, because he has done something that he probably shouldn?t, like cheats on you, he becomes abusive to cover it up. It is important that you don?t raise your children in this setting or they will grow up thinking that this is the way people should treat one another. I do not believe that your love is one-sided but I do believe that this man is not good for you. You are coming into a period that will be even more difficult where relationships are concerned. You can use this period to take further abuse from him or you can use this period to get out on your own with your children and start a new life. Neither will be easy but the later will certainly lead to a better future for you and your children. Opportunities for you to meet someone else are apparent and I believe you should do just that. It will help you forget about your abusive partner. Your chart also indicates that you are not likely to be with just one partner throughout your life. There is also evidence in your chart that you do attract men who will try to control and confine you. I suggest that you have an astrological evaluation done prior to giving your heart to the next man you want to become intimate with. Build on friendship first and you?ll stand a better chance of developing a long lasting union. You are coming into a high cycle where work and money are concerned. I feel confident that if you put your energy into your work, your children, your new home and meeting new friends and lovers you will find that your life will unfold quite nicely as we go into the year 2001. It sometimes helps to make a list of all the reasons that you feel that you should not be with your ex. I am interested in astrology and have read many books on this subject. Therefore, I quite understand myself. But I want to know more about interpersonal relationships. For example, how can I find out the solutions to conflicts.

I write to you to talk about the relationship with my boyfriend. Although I have checked the compatibility from romance section on your site, the percentages we got are different. I guess the higher percentage I got, the more suitable I would be to him. Is it like that?

My natal moon was in Pisces, so I always have an insecure feeling when it comes to love. I am afraid to be hurt. Since the Venus was in the fifth house (Sagittarius), I should be able to release this feeling. But why do I care whether my lover be serious to me and whether I am the only lover for him? Why do I always think of him? Both his natal Venus and Mars are in Taurus, he should be serious and possessive when it comes to love. But he is also a sun Gemini and Moon Leo. I am afraid that he may lose interest in me or in this relation very soon. May I know in more details about his attitude towards love? What will happen between us? The comparison is workable however like all relationships it isn't perfect. You will not always agree with one another and at times I believe that you may both lack honesty regarding what it is you truly want out of life. His natal Neptune being in Sagittarius conjunct your natal Neptune and Venus in an area that deals with children could result in sorrow regarding pregnancy, raising children or even agreeing on having children. In his birth chart his natal Neptune is opposite his natal Mercury and this can result in evading issues or not being completely upfront with you. It will be important that you both communicate openly and honestly in order to build your relationship on solid ground. With your natal Moon adversely aspected to your natal Venus conjunct Neptune it makes it difficult for you to feel secure regarding affairs of the heart.
