I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

I am a 44 year old female born December 22, 1958 at 10 pm and currently residing in New York. I have recently become involved in a long distance relationship with a younger man (he resides in North Carolina). I grew up in his hometown and visit it quite frequently, at least once every other month. Not only is he younger but also he is a Gemini (DOB 6/17/74). Which I have been told he is not compatible with my sign and to steer clear. Yet our time together is very special. He is a great conversationalist, while am a good listener. He appreciates the fact that I only offer advice when he requests it. I find him highly intelligent and that is most important to me. The problem is I am always drawn to Gemini's, if I would walk in a room full of available bachelors the one that I would be most attracted to would turn out to be a Gemini. I have dated several and even married one. Is there something wrong with me or is there a reason why this type of man seems to draw me out?

You were born with the sign Aquarius in an area of your chart that deals with partnerships and relationships therefore the Air signs Gemini, Libra and Aquarius are not bad for you. I do think that Geminis are particularly good because they fall in an area of people who can help you achieve your dreams, hopes and wishes for the future. You can learn from them and prosper because of them. With your Sun and Venus in the sign Capricorn you will always do better with partners who are much younger or much older than you are and with your Mercury and Saturn in Sagittarius you will always be attracted to Gemini's or men who are intellectual. You will be in a much higher cycle for love beginning this fall so keep yourself available. Although the comparison with your friend was okay I do think that if you spent more time with him you would find him lacking in some areas. It appears to be more of a mental connection than physical and I would be inclined to keep him as a friend. You are going through your second half-life Saturn and this is probably making you think more about settling down again. I have written to you a few times. I hope you can tell me what to do. I lost my mom on Nov. 13, 2000. I am very lost and lonely. I don't want to do anything but sleep. I have lived with my 3 year-olds father for 4 years. We don't get along very well. He is drinking a lot and also thinks I should be over the death of my mom already. He has two healthy parents, so he doesn't know what it is like. My dad was only given 1 to 3 months to live last week, because of cancer. My boyfriend (if that is what you call him) says I can pull myself out of this or die right along with them. He is no support to me. I know he is seeing someone else, but at this point I don't care. I just need some advice on what to do with the way I feel about life. I was born May 26, 1963, at 12 PM.

I can tell by the transits moving through your personal houses in your chart that you are at a turning point in your life regarding your partner. I feel that it is time to start thinking about the best way to make yours and your child's life better. You did not submit the birth data of either your child or the man you're living with therefore I can not explain his lack of support. My guess is that he can't face death himself therefore he is not able to justify the kind of loss that you are experiencing. It hasn't been very long since your mother died and with your father in the shape that he is in it must be extremely painful for you. You do however for the sake of your child have to handle your situation bravely. You should probably consider making a move in a positive direction (possibly away from your boyfriend) late spring or you should start talking to him about his insensitivity and telling him you need greater support and love if he expects you and your child to stay with him. Your depression and grieving you are experiencing will end but for now it is what you need in order to get through this most difficult period in your life. You were born with your natal Moon in the sign Cancer and this makes it very hard for you to let go when it comes to family members who are so dear to you.

My Birth date is May 17, 1957, 8:18 PM. I graduated last October with my master's degree in business and have been searching ever since for a job. I have put out numerous resumes to companies and not once have I even received a call back or even a thank you. I've had several people review my resume thinking that I hadn't used the proper verbiage, or didn't state my objective. I've even spoken with other astrologers asking the same question and all I get is this period looks good or that period looks good but to no avail I still have no job. I'm at a loss I've even gone to headhunters and still nothing. Can I please ask if you foresee anything in the near future?

I have to admit that with the birth data you provided you should in fact have been getting a response over the past eight months. Although this period will remain with you until March of next year I find it strange that you have not even had as much as an interview. The only conclusion that I can make is that your birth time may not be accurate. My suggestion however is to keep cold calling and putting out your resume as the period coming up does look promising. I feel that you might also start looking outside your local region, as it would not be a bad idea for you to make a move. The area of your chart that deals with your residence will be in a high cycle regarding change or a move shortly so that may be an indication that you should be looking for work elsewhere. I also believe that if your chart is accurate you may be holding yourself back by only applying for jobs that you feel are worthy of your degree. You may have to take a lower position and work your way up. Often when you come out of school companies are not willing to give you a chance. You are probably best to start applying for somewhat lower positions in order to get your foot in the door. Once you start working I'm sure that you will advance quickly.
