I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

I am a 44 year old female born December 22, 1958 at 10 pm and currently residing in New York. I have recently become involved in a long distance relationship with a younger man (he resides in North Carolina). I grew up in his hometown and visit it quite frequently, at least once every other month. Not only is he younger but also he is a Gemini (DOB 6/17/74). Which I have been told he is not compatible with my sign and to steer clear. Yet our time together is very special. He is a great conversationalist, while am a good listener. He appreciates the fact that I only offer advice when he requests it. I find him highly intelligent and that is most important to me. The problem is I am always drawn to Gemini's, if I would walk in a room full of available bachelors the one that I would be most attracted to would turn out to be a Gemini. I have dated several and even married one. Is there something wrong with me or is there a reason why this type of man seems to draw me out?

You were born with the sign Aquarius in an area of your chart that deals with partnerships and relationships therefore the Air signs Gemini, Libra and Aquarius are not bad for you. I do think that Geminis are particularly good because they fall in an area of people who can help you achieve your dreams, hopes and wishes for the future. You can learn from them and prosper because of them. With your Sun and Venus in the sign Capricorn you will always do better with partners who are much younger or much older than you are and with your Mercury and Saturn in Sagittarius you will always be attracted to Gemini's or men who are intellectual. You will be in a much higher cycle for love beginning this fall so keep yourself available. Although the comparison with your friend was okay I do think that if you spent more time with him you would find him lacking in some areas. It appears to be more of a mental connection than physical and I would be inclined to keep him as a friend. I grew up alone and lonely, but didn't mind, as it was all I knew. After 18 yrs of a (almost) happy marriage he left and again I have been alone for 18 yrs. I could have gotten married twice, but they both smothered me and wanted to just follow me around all the time. I raised one kid who is an attorney. Everyone thinks I am a happy, fun person, but really I am so tired of battling life alone. Will this ever change? I listen to co-workers who have families or husbands to cook for and I envy them so much. Also financially I just hang on and worry about a roof over my head and food on the table. I refuse to be a burden to my kid. Will this ever change?

You will have the opportunities to change things and the timing will be right but it won't happen unless you take the initiative and do something about your situation. Even as I write to you, your chart indicates that favorable transits have begun in an area that deals with work and money. If you aren't being paid enough for your services consider picking up extra work on the side or starting your own small business on the side. The possibility of a raise or moving to a better position is also available to you. I believe that if you can put some cash aside that your son can probably help you invest it ins something that will make money for you over the course of the next year and a half. Regarding love that too is moving into a high cycle this fall and will remain with you for the next year. You must however get out and meet people. The possibility of meeting someone through work related events or an organization you join is likely. You match up well to those born under the signs Aries, Gemini, Leo Sagittarius and Aquarius.

I am a classical Capricorn born on 17/01/76, 11:15 AM. I read that the Moon can have real bad influences on the sign Capricorn. I am wondering if Moon has had bad influences on me especially in my romantic life. Although I had several boy friends (all were Leo's), I was never totally attracted to anyone. I am always in complete control. Is it because of the Saturn- moon angle in my birth chart? Will I continue like this?
I know it sounds awkward but is it a problem that most Capricorn's have?

The Moon in your chart falls in the sign Leo and that is one of the reasons that you attract that sign however they are not always the best for you. You have the sign Scorpio in an area that deals with relationships and therefore will eventually clash with most Leo's that you date. You have been experiencing a Neptune transit that is influencing your emotional life causing self-deception, disillusionment and confusion. This transit is moving off your chart however between now and August of next year you will experience another transit that will play havoc with your love life. You should experience plenty of opportunities for love and romance however you will have difficulty choosing the right partner. I suggest that you use our compatibility feature in order to spare yourself ending up with someone who may not be good for you. The problem that you face is that your natal Venus is conjunct your natal Neptune and this can create sorrow and disappointments in love.
