I'm a Cancer (7/6/69 2.40 am, Gemini asc.) who's looking for a long-term partner. I tend to look out only for guys of compatible signs, cause I'm thinking that they're the only ones that could yield a healthy long-term relationship. In the last year I find I've been meeting a lot of Libras (clashes with my sun) and Virgos (clashes with my Gemini asc.) but I've not pursued them for the reasons stated. I've read that compatible sun sign relationships are more likely to grow together over the years whereas incompatible sun sign relationships were more likely to grow apart over the years. Am I guilty of Sun sign prejudice (smile), or just taking the astrology thing a little too seriously? Please help.

One thing that most people don't realize is that to use astrology to the degree that is required for the purposes of compatibility you must do a complete astrological comparison between yourself and the person you are interested in. According to the date time and place that you have submitted you are in fact born under the sign Cancer but that's where is ends You have a Taurus ascendant not Gemini, two planets in Virgo well aspected to your Venus in Taurus which makes both Virgo and Taurus a good fit and Uranus in Libra in your fifth house using equal house method and sixth using placidus which means that this sign is better to socialize or work with.

In the area of your chart that deals with partnerships you have the sign Scorpio and this makes that sign Compatible as well. Sagittarius and Gemini fall in your second and eighth house the eighth being dead-end projects and the second an offshoot of the eighth making these signs the least likely especially with the Virgo that you have in your chart. Article: From In a Quandary

Dear Ms. Last,

I read the letters and the answers and am always very impressed by you. I was born on 1/12/51 at 5:35 p.m. Here is my dilemma. Things are not going well at work right now and I have a feeling that my supervisor is trying to force me to quit. I have had a couple of job offers, one involving a move. At my age changing jobs and moving is very scary. I am so depressed right now and do not know what to do. Can you help me decide if changing jobs or moving would be a good thing or should I hang in at work and hope things will get better. I don't want to make the wrong decision. Dear In a Quandary

I can understand your reluctance to move especially if you have friends and family around you but if you are basically alone I feel that it may be to your benefit. You didn?t mention how distant a move it might be and that would make a difference, if it is a move made from one state to another or further the change could actually be quite good for you. Making a move from one company to another or one part of town to another will not be as favorable. Regarding your job prospects it is apparent that whatever you decide to do things will be a little unnerving. I feel that opportunities are present and that whether you stay or go improvements are likely to unfold in the short term. Your depression stems from transiting Saturn moving toward your ascendant and opposite your natal Mercury and squaring your natal Saturn and Neptune. This has caused confusion as well as uncertainties about your future. Having the sign Cancer rising it is difficult for you to pick up and move or to even accept change but sometimes that?s exactly what?s required in order to move into the next phase of your life. It?s never all good ? life doesn?t work that way but it should be interesting to say the least so consider your options and research the possibility of making a move.

Article: A Turning Point?

Hi Eugenia!

I was born on Feb. 6, 1975 at 7:00 p.m. (19:00). Recently, I have a headache just thinking of my job. I think the basic reason is my personality. I'm working for a trading company dealing with chemicals. My position is sales deputy manager. I want to be a salesman but I'm not interested in chemicals at all. My boss and I worked at the same company until this January. He set up his own company and he asked me to help him. So I started this new job from this January. Studying about chemicals is difficult. This is the first problem. I want something more active and fresh. But my boss is really friendly and good to me so I'm hesitant to leave.

I am thinking what I really want to do everyday. A few weeks ago, I went to a fortune-teller. He said that I had better do creative things like fashion design or whatever. He added that I should start as soon as possible and would be successful when I'm 30 years old. Maybe he is right because I'm bored of the routine at work already. I have changed my job two times in the past two years. I don't regret making the change because it was a sedentary job and I don't like it. I'm trying to think what creative work would be good for me. Fashion illustrator? But I don't have any talent working with my hands, but I do have a sense of style.

Anyway, this is the second question I have. I don't know what is better for me in the future. I only know that I do not like chemicals. Should I keep this job because I have to keep the promise with my boss? Or should I change my job? As you said, timing is important. Sometimes I think I'm wasting my time on something that is all wrong for me. Am I right?

You are headed toward a high cycle regarding your work however it will be more predominant beginning next February therefore you do have some time to make up your mind and to look around. Regarding sales, you can do quite well in that field, however what you sell will make all the difference in the world. There are a few options that you might find interesting however for some of them you may have to pick up additional knowledge or courses. I suggest that if that is the case you do so between now and the end of January if possible. You can do well in the fashion industry however I think it would be more in an area of buying not designing. Keep in mind that anything you do can be creative. You also show talent in the field of technology. That could mean selling ideas, concepts etc for a .com company that offers you options. You also show promise in the area of communications and that can mean working with computers, internet, radio, television etc. You have many choices to make and it will be dependent on your knowledge and your ability to jump from one field to another as to how well or how far you will go. The timing is right for you to pick your direction and signing up for courses that will bring you the knowledge required to help you get the position you want by the early part of next year.
