We've all experienced times of conflict and personal struggle. Times when the assistance and advice of a friend always seemed to lend comfort and ease the burden. Have you ever wondered what it would be like if that friend was one of the world's most revered astrologers, with over 25 years of experience?

Dear Eugenia
I'm a Cancer (7/6/69 2.40 am, Gemini asc.) who's looking for a long-term partner. I tend to look out only for guys of compatible signs, cause I'm thinking that they're the only ones that could yield a healthy long-term relationship. In the last year I find I've been meeting a lot of Libras (clashes with my sun) and Virgos (clashes with my Gemini asc.) but I've not pursued them for the reasons stated. I've read that compatible sun sign relationships are more likely to grow together over the years whereas incompatible sun sign relationships were more likely to grow apart over the years. Am I guilty of Sun sign prejudice (smile), or just taking the astrology thing a little too seriously? Please help.
Nest-building Cancer
Dear Nest-building Cancer
One thing that most people don't realize is that to use astrology to the degree that is required for the purposes of compatibility you must do a complete astrological comparison between yourself and the person you are interested in. This can be done on my www.astroadvice.com website for free. You just need to register to be a member (again, membership is free and also have your partners day, month, year and if possible time and place of birth for complete accuracy). This compatibility feature will give you all the pros and cons of the relationship.
According to the date time and place that you have submitted you are in fact born under the sign Cancer but that's where is ends You have a Taurus ascendant not Gemini, two planets in Virgo well aspected to your Venus in Taurus which makes both Virgo and Taurus a good fit and Uranus in Libra in your fifth house using equal house method and sixth using placidus which means that this sign is better to socialize or work with.
In the area of your chart that deals with partnerships you have the sign Scorpio and this makes that sign Compatible as well. Sagittarius and Gemini fall in your second and eighth house the eighth being dead-end projects and the second an offshoot of the eighth making these signs the least likely especially with the Virgo that you have in your chart. Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, late Capricorn and Pisces should be the better signs for you.
Eugenia
Dear Eugenia,
I feel very, very lost. I work in the hospitality industry, which does not suit me at all. I make a decent living but hate my job and am thinking to go back to school to get certified to teach. Do you think that is a good choice? I fear it a little bit because I am very emotional and very unhappy. Although most of the time I can hide it well sometimes it comes to the surface and I find myself almost dysfunctional with grief. My mother (Nov 17) may be dying. She has been married to my father for nearly 60 years and she had a heart attack in December, which led to a stroke, which led to her lying in a hospital bed trying to learn to move and speak again. My father (Oct 22) sits at her side all day every day holding her hand and telling her everything is going to be okay. They are my models of what a marriage should be. I have been married for four years and separated for 2 and a half-he started walking out on me after our first anniversary. I finally went to a lawyer to draw up divorce papers and get my freedom and my husband (Nov 17, 76) is now trying to stop it. I feel that he has used me and deceived me numerous times although he says he loves me. If he loved me wouldn't he want to let me go and be happy rather than using our marriage one more time for his own ends? I had been celibate for one year after a failed 8-month relationship with a man who just wanted to be "friends" (Sept 11, 70). Then I ill advisedly got into a relationship with a very confused man (Oct 1, 77) for about two months that left me crying when he went back to his jealous Virgo ex-girlfriend earlier this week. Does my life sound like a soap opera? I feel like I have had my life on hold for several years and now everything has fallen on me at once and I can hardly bear it anymore. Family is the most important thing to me and I thought at 31 years old I would have a man as faithful and loving as my father at least if not children as well. I have not lost hope but it is running thin and I am so incredibly sad. Please, help give me direction and tell me what to look for and what you see in my chart - I was born January 6, 1976 at 10:02 AM.
Thank you,
Capricorn
Dear Capricorn
The comparison with your ex Scorpio is actually quite good. Yes there is emotional deception present but it appears to show up in an area of both charts that deals with the way you view one another as well as yourself leading me to believe that neither one of you may have tried hard enough to make it work. Marriage isn't easy and although I do believe with where his planets fall in your chart that you aren't like to forgive, forget and try again.
I think that you moved on emotionally when you let your heart be captured by your Libra friend. At that point you lost the ability to reconcile with your Capricorn husband. I do not feel that your Libra friend is right for you either. His inability to make up his mind will always be a problem plus he falls in an area of your chart that deals with dead ends. In other words it isn't likely to last even if you did get together again and marry.
I think teaching is a good thing for you to pursue however you should have started taking the course you required at least a year ago. The transits for educational pursuits are fast running out therefore your timing is off. Now that doesn't mean that you can't proceed but it will require more work on your part. The areas of your chart that deal with work and money are however in a high cycle until early next year so you may want to switch jobs this year. You can also excel in the travel industry, real estate, sales, your own business or something that involves physical activity of some sort.
Without your parents year of birth I cannot tell you much about them, however according to your chart your mother appears to be undergoing limitations and health issues for the next
Hello Eugenia,
My DOB: 01-31-1979 5:30pm. The DOB of my boyfriend: 06-01-1979 9:10am
I am interested in astrology and have read many books on this subject. Therefore, I quite understand myself. But I want to know more about interpersonal relationships. For example, how can I find out the solutions to conflicts.
I write to you to talk about the relationship with my boyfriend. Although I have checked the compatibility from romance section on your site, the percentages we got are different. I guess the higher percentage I got, the more suitable I would be to him. Is it like that?
My natal moon was in Pisces, so I always have an insecure feeling when it comes to love. I am afraid to be hurt. Since the Venus was in the fifth house (Sagittarius), I should be able to release this feeling. But why do I care whether my lover be serious to me and whether I am the only lover for him? Why do I always think of him? Both his natal Venus and Mars are in Taurus, he should be serious and possessive when it comes to love. But he is also a sun Gemini and Moon Leo. I am afraid that he may lose interest in me or in this relation very soon. May I know in more details about his attitude towards love? What will happen between us? What kinds of problems we may have and how to tackle them?
Serious Relationship
Dear Serious Relationship
The comparison is workable however like all relationships it isn't perfect. You will not always agree with one another and at times I believe that you may both lack honesty regarding what it is you truly want out of life. His natal Neptune being in Sagittarius conjunct your natal Neptune and Venus in an area that deals with children could result in sorrow regarding pregnancy, raising children or even agreeing on having children. In his birth chart his natal Neptune is opposite his natal Mercury and this can result in evading issues or not being completely upfront with you. It will be important that you both communicate openly and honestly in order to build your relationship on solid ground. With your natal Moon adversely aspected to your natal Venus conjunct Neptune it makes it difficult for you to feel secure regarding affairs of the heart. This is something that you will have to work on by building your own self-esteem and confidence. If you feel good about yourself your insecurities will diminish. This relationship can work but you must not be so needy. Your man is a Gemini but when it comes to love he does have his natal Venus in Taurus and that is usually a sign of loyalty, stability and staying power however with his Mercury in Gemini you are right in assuming that you will have to keep up with him in order to stimulate his mind. You are both moving into a period that is more conducive to settling down over the course of the next two to three years. If you talk to one another about your likes, dislikes, needs and desires you should be able to move forward in a positive manner.
