I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

I'm a Cancer (7/6/69 2.40 am, Gemini asc.) who's looking for a long-term partner. I tend to look out only for guys of compatible signs, cause I'm thinking that they're the only ones that could yield a healthy long-term relationship. In the last year I find I've been meeting a lot of Libras (clashes with my sun) and Virgos (clashes with my Gemini asc.) but I've not pursued them for the reasons stated. I've read that compatible sun sign relationships are more likely to grow together over the years whereas incompatible sun sign relationships were more likely to grow apart over the years. Am I guilty of Sun sign prejudice (smile), or just taking the astrology thing a little too seriously? Please help.

One thing that most people don't realize is that to use astrology to the degree that is required for the purposes of compatibility you must do a complete astrological comparison between yourself and the person you are interested in. According to the date time and place that you have submitted you are in fact born under the sign Cancer but that's where is ends You have a Taurus ascendant not Gemini, two planets in Virgo well aspected to your Venus in Taurus which makes both Virgo and Taurus a good fit and Uranus in Libra in your fifth house using equal house method and sixth using placidus which means that this sign is better to socialize or work with.
In the area of your chart that deals with partnerships you have the sign Scorpio and this makes that sign Compatible as well. Sagittarius and Gemini fall in your second and eighth house the eighth being dead-end projects and the second an offshoot of the eighth making these signs the least likely especially with the Virgo that you have in your chart. Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, late Capricorn and Pisces should be the better signs for you.

I read the letters and the answers and am always very impressed by you. I was born on 1/12/51 at 5:35 p.m. Here is my dilemma. Things are not going well at work right now and I have a feeling that my supervisor is trying to force me to quit. I have had a couple of job offers, one involving a move. At my age changing jobs and moving is very scary. I am so depressed right now and do not know what to do. Can you help me decide if changing jobs or moving would be a good thing or should I hang in at work and hope things will get better. I don't want to make the wrong decision. I can understand your reluctance to move especially if you have friends and family around you but if you are basically alone I feel that it may be to your benefit. You didn?t mention how distant a move it might be and that would make a difference, if it is a move made from one state to another or further the change could actually be quite good for you. Making a move from one company to another or one part of town to another will not be as favorable. Regarding your job prospects it is apparent that whatever you decide to do things will be a little unnerving. I feel that opportunities are present and that whether you stay or go improvements are likely to unfold in the short term. Your depression stems from transiting Saturn moving toward your ascendant and opposite your natal Mercury and squaring your natal Saturn and Neptune. This has caused confusion as well as uncertainties about your future. Having the sign Cancer rising it is difficult for you to pick up and move or to even accept change but sometimes that?s exactly what?s required in order to move into the next phase of your life. It?s never all good ? life doesn?t work that way but it should be interesting to say the least so consider your options and research the possibility of making a move.

I hope you will answer my letter. I beg you to. There is a man I have been seeing for 9 months. He works at the same office but in a different department. The problem is that he is still married. He keeps on extending the date to separate from his wife saying he has to do it because of his kids. I do understand his situation, but sometimes I feel like I am getting used unintentionally. I know he wouldn't purposely hurt me. I live alone. And it's so lonely without him. At work he is such a distraction, because I always think about him.
I love him very much, but my life was turned upside down because of him. I am emotionally very unstable. Could you please advice me if I should pursue this any more. I am thinking of finding another job, since it would be easier to forget him that way. His date of birth is 08/13/1954 6.45pm and mine is October 4, 1971, at 10:25 PM. Please I beg you to give me some advice.

Yes you do match up to your Leo friend but he is in a situation that is not healthy for you. I believe that you should back away, change your job if necessary and get on with your life. If he is serious about you and leaving his family he will do so. As for you sitting around and waiting you should stop doing so immediately. Whether you think he is using you or not, he is. Right now he has two women in his life that he is hurting along with his son. You are going through your Saturn return this year and that will make you depressed as well as cause you to reevaluate your situation. This year is a make it or break it period for you. As for him, I would have thought that if he was planning to leave his family he would have done so a couple of years ago. If you continue to wait around for him he will have no desire or need to make the necessary changes. His chart indicates that he is extremely changeable regarding his feelings and his relationships. He is wishy-washy about love and can be a bit of a player. Be careful what you wish for. If he can cheat on his wife and son he will certainly be able to cheat on you.
