I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

I'm a Cancer (7/6/69 2.40 am, Gemini asc.) who's looking for a long-term partner. I tend to look out only for guys of compatible signs, cause I'm thinking that they're the only ones that could yield a healthy long-term relationship. In the last year I find I've been meeting a lot of Libras (clashes with my sun) and Virgos (clashes with my Gemini asc.) but I've not pursued them for the reasons stated. I've read that compatible sun sign relationships are more likely to grow together over the years whereas incompatible sun sign relationships were more likely to grow apart over the years. Am I guilty of Sun sign prejudice (smile), or just taking the astrology thing a little too seriously? Please help.

One thing that most people don't realize is that to use astrology to the degree that is required for the purposes of compatibility you must do a complete astrological comparison between yourself and the person you are interested in. According to the date time and place that you have submitted you are in fact born under the sign Cancer but that's where is ends You have a Taurus ascendant not Gemini, two planets in Virgo well aspected to your Venus in Taurus which makes both Virgo and Taurus a good fit and Uranus in Libra in your fifth house using equal house method and sixth using placidus which means that this sign is better to socialize or work with.
In the area of your chart that deals with partnerships you have the sign Scorpio and this makes that sign Compatible as well. Sagittarius and Gemini fall in your second and eighth house the eighth being dead-end projects and the second an offshoot of the eighth making these signs the least likely especially with the Virgo that you have in your chart. Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, late Capricorn and Pisces should be the better signs for you.

Your chart indicates that you are extremely hard to diagnose and this is why the doctors are having so much trouble finding out what's wrong. Trial and error will be required but you must not rely on one doctor's opinion. Although I do believe that you can and will get better I'm afraid that you will have to go through a couple of difficult years. You are headed into a period that indicates limitations, feeling fatigued and being run down. It will be important that you get your rest and that you have the doctor's check your heart for any defects that may have developed or that you may have been born with. Also the chest or breast area may show some signs of infection. You do tend to worry yourself sick and must be careful not to allow this to happen. Also problems with stomach may also occur and this could be an ulcer or colitis or similar disease set off once again by stress, anxiety and fear of becoming ill. Your chart is strong and I do believe that you will land on your feet and that whatever the doctors discover it will not be as bad as you think. Unfortunately the transit causing poor diagnosis will be in your chart until February 2006 so you may find yourself going through a lot between now and then. My suggestion is to work on stress management and if you are diagnosed with a stomach, chest or heart problem that you go to several specialists until you find the one who can put you on the right medication. One of the most difficult problems with this type of transit that you are going through is that quite often the wrong medication is what makes you sicker. The other area that the doctors should check out is that you may have an allergy to something around you or to a medication they prescribe. Know in your heart that your natal chart is good and that you should be able to get through this period so stop worrying.

I think my man is cheating on me. He was born 2/1/58 in Peoria, IL. We have been together for 2 years, and one thing that's always bothered me is his ability to "compartmentalize." He has several exes that I have never been introduced to, yet I have known all along that he sees them in social situations. This does not bug me, as it seems to indicate that he is truly a caring person and does not throw away relationships with ease.
However, I have sensed a shift recently, and don't know whether to chalk it up to my oversensitive Cancer nature, or to trust my female intuition. The details are unimportant. There is a voice in my head, screaming loudly, that I am being lied to and cheated on.
I am hoping you will help me by providing reassurance that this man does love me truly, like he says he does, or that my unfortunate suspicions are true and I should move on. I think this man may be the love of my life, so I am willing to hang in here, providing I am not being made a fool of. I was born 7/17/66 at 8:52 PM.

The comparison with your Aquarius lover was not very good. As a matter of fact it screams deception when it comes to communicating about matters that pertain to his friendships with other people or even communicating at any level for that matter. He was also born with his natal Venus adversely positioned to his natal Neptune and this is the major sign of sorrow when it comes to love and romance. The reason he still sees his ex girlfriends is to lead them on. He has to know that at any time he can pull strings and get them to dance with him yet again. Your Aquarius friend is not the sweet and caring man you think he is. He is cool and calculating. As for you - well you are way to sensitive to be involved with the likes of him. You have too much to offer emotionally, physically, spiritually and mentally and there is no doubt in my mind that you should be moving on quickly. I know that moving on and letting go are both very difficult for a Cancer to do and in your case you are such a strong Cancer with such a big heart that I can see why you sit there even though you are smart enough to see what's going on right under your nose. You are in a high cycle regarding love and romance until late October and I suggest that you don't waste this precious time on him. Get out of this relationship and move quickly to find a new love. I believe if you do so you will be much happier this time next year. You match up well to those born under the signs Taurus, Cancer, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces.
