We've all experienced times of conflict and personal struggle. Times when the assistance and advice of a friend always seemed to lend comfort and ease the burden. Have you ever wondered what it would be like if that friend was one of the world's most revered astrologers, with over 25 years of experience?

I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

Dear Eugenia
I'm a Cancer (7/6/69 2.40 am, Gemini asc.) who's looking for a long-term partner. I tend to look out only for guys of compatible signs, cause I'm thinking that they're the only ones that could yield a healthy long-term relationship. In the last year I find I've been meeting a lot of Libras (clashes with my sun) and Virgos (clashes with my Gemini asc.) but I've not pursued them for the reasons stated. I've read that compatible sun sign relationships are more likely to grow together over the years whereas incompatible sun sign relationships were more likely to grow apart over the years. Am I guilty of Sun sign prejudice (smile), or just taking the astrology thing a little too seriously? Please help.

Dear Nest-building Cancer
One thing that most people don't realize is that to use astrology to the degree that is required for the purposes of compatibility you must do a complete astrological comparison between yourself and the person you are interested in. This can be done on my www.astroadvice.com website for free. You just need to register to be a member (again, membership is free and also have your partners day, month, year and if possible time and place of birth for complete accuracy). This compatibility feature will give you all the pros and cons of the relationship.
According to the date time and place that you have submitted you are in fact born under the sign Cancer but that's where is ends You have a Taurus ascendant not Gemini, two planets in Virgo well aspected to your Venus in Taurus which makes both Virgo and Taurus a good fit and Uranus in Libra in your fifth house using equal house method and sixth using placidus which means that this sign is better to socialize or work with.
In the area of your chart that deals with partnerships you have the sign Scorpio and this makes that sign Compatible as well. Sagittarius and Gemini fall in your second and eighth house the eighth being dead-end projects and the second an offshoot of the eighth making these signs the least likely especially with the Virgo that you have in your chart. Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, late Capricorn and Pisces should be the better signs for you.

Dear Eugenia:
I was born at 12:25 a.m. on 6 May 1972. Around January 2000, Saturn will return to its position in my natal chart, Gemini. My question is this: What significant effects, if any, will the fact that Saturn, Mars, and Venus are all in Gemini (and retrograde, I believe) in my natal chart have on my Saturn return? (or, more generally, what types of influences can I expect during my Saturn return?)
Thanks!
M.
Dear M.
First of all your natal Mars and Venus are not situated close enough to your natal Saturn in order to form a conjunction. Therefore, I would be more concerned with your natal Saturn opposite your natal Neptune when your Saturn returns strikes between May and July of next year and January and March of 2002. With your natal Moon well aspected to both your natal Saturn and Neptune however I feel comfortable saying that it shouldn't be too difficult. Usually your Saturn return results in reevaluating your life. It is a turning point for most people. In your case it will be in an area that deals with such things as making a move from one state to another (which I might add should be favorable) or deciding to further your education for self-purpose or for career advancement. It can also be a time that children will play a role in your life or that you could be taken advantage of financially. It is not a time that you should trust just anyone, especially with your money. You may want to reconsider the way you spend your spare time socializing. If you have been overindulgent it may be the time to cut back or quit altogether. Saturn is a disciplinarian, a teacher, we are to learn from our past mistakes and use this period of renewed awareness to sort through the clutter in our lives and move on in a positive and refreshed manner. You shouldn't fight Saturn influences, but instead learn to accept the situation you are in and find the most suitable way to make the changes necessary to better your life.

Dear Eugenia,
I was born in Taipei on 5th November 1973 between 1-3am. I am an engineer specialising in the research and development of programming, circuit design and etc. I have worked for two companies during the past five years. I am working for this company for one year. I feel that I am underpaid compared to the hard work I've contributed. When I have creative ideas or developed new products, my boss always tells me that they would be difficult to sell to the market.
I know some people through freelance jobs. Recently, A friend of mine plans to set up a new company and would like me to join him offering me a high salary. Although I would like to take the challenge, I am afraid that the new company is not established and not sure how long it will survive. If it does close down, then I have to start all over again. I cannot make a decision. Can you analysis for me according to my characters or career opportunities?
I always felt that I have the ability and should have better professional development, but I am afraid to quit the job I have for an unknown future. I visited your web site and one of paragraphs said that, someone like me would change jobs all the time. I am nearly 30 years old. If I always need to change jobs, will it affect my family life? Am I suitable to form business partnerships and start my own business? When will the timing be best for such a venture? Can you help me to answer these questions? Thank you.
In a dilemma
Dear In a dilemma
Your future looks bright. You have some wonderful ideas however to people like your current boss you are a little ahead of your time. You have a strong chart that indicates that you should be your own boss. Your friend that wants to start up his own business and hire you for big dollars should be considering making you a partner instead of an employee. You will eventually form your own business and probably take his clients with you if he doesn't offer you the right deal. As for your current position I feel that you will have problems with superiors, employers and authority figures for the next year. You will be in a high cycle regarding doing your own thing and starting your own business beginning next June. You should start putting things into place now. Continue to work for the company you are with or work for your friend for the time being however don't lose sight of your future expectation. Although it won't be easy going you can be successful if you push hard professionally over the course of the next four years. If you decide to get into a partnership that is fine however do check your partners out astrologically under business compatibility on the web site.
