I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

Dear Eugenia,
I am a 27-year-old Pisces born February 28, 1976, at 5:30 PM and I have recently been made aware of 'Saturn Return' in my chart? This could explain my exhaustion and frustration over the last couple of years. I am tired of being self-employed, I realize it has taken away from my social life and financially I am just hanging on. I have recently interviewed for summer work to alleviate the stresses, with no luck. Though I seem at peace with life I don't have the securities my peers have, career, social and romantic stability. I do admit I would like to settle down. Is it this 'Saturn Return' that is affecting my life? Will it go away? At this point, any advice or words of hope would help.

Your Saturn return hasn't begun yet. Although you will start to feel the impact of your Saturn return over the next year it will actually have the strongest affect on you between late August of next year (2004) and will remain with you for approximately one year ending late July 2005. During that time you will reevaluate your life and make decisions based on the way you feel about your past. It is a pivotal point in a person's life when Saturn returns. Some people do well with it because they take the initiative, make the necessary changes and proceed in a positive and upward motion. Others find it overwhelming and decide that what they have achieved is all life has to offer and that they are too old to make changes - which I might add is ridiculous and a cop out. As for you I do not see your Saturn return as being that much of a problem. Regarding what has been causing you all the friction the past several years I would have to say is transiting Uranus and Neptune moving through the sign Aquarius. You were born with your Moon, Mercury and Venus in that sign in an area of your chart that does deal with work. Unfortunately it has played havoc with you and although it isn't over yet I do believe that you will always go back to doing your own thing. You are innovative, creative and have a good chart when it comes to work and money. If you want to work for someone else that is fine. You should be able to land a decent job shortly. I might suggest however that you do try to keep your business running on the side. I feel that if you do it will pick up giving you the satisfaction you need. As for your social, personal and home life - well that is where transiting Saturn has been affecting your life the past couple of years putting a damper on relationships and in general your social life. You will be coming into a much higher cycle regarding such matters as transiting Saturn moves into the sign Cancer coupled with Uranus which has just moved briefly into the sign Pisces opening up all sorts of new opportunities and changes regarding both business and personal partnerships. It's time to prepare for change and don't be afraid to partner up with someone in all aspects of your life. You may discover that joining forces with someone regarding your business may be a prosperous journey as well. I'm 33 years old. I'm a professional actress born March 18, 1969, at 1:15 PM. I migrate between New York and Los Angeles with the work. I graduated from drama school in New York when I was 24 and at that time my career developed somewhat too rapidly -in the sense that I was really not personally equipped to deal with the really exceptional professional opportunities that came my way so quickly. I had a lot of emotional, and I would say spiritual, issues that needed dealing with. I had quite a difficult time of it until around '98/'99 when I began to reform my life by slowing down professionally somewhat, and focusing seriously on healing. I also had some health issues come up around that time which sort of reinforced this move. And it has been very important and very positive for me. But given that I was working and campaigning for acting parts a great deal less (in an intensely competitive field), my career has suffered. I've been trying to decide about where to pick up the pieces. I still! Love acting and I've invested a lot of myself in it, but considering my age -I don't want to waste energy if it's not going anyplace. I'm also thinking about branching off into writing -playwriting. What do you think is the best move I can make for my career and my future? Thank you.

Your chart indicates that you have just moved into another high cycle regarding work and that it will be with you until the end of next year. I feel strongly that you should be pursuing what you love and giving it you're all but I also do believe that you have an ability where writing is concerned so I wouldn't like to see you miss out in that area either. I think that the year ahead will be a very busy one for you but certainly satisfying and worthwhile if you spread yourself a little thin and try to do it all. The area of your chart that deals with publishing and creativity is looking good as well so it is important that you do follow through in that area as well. It is always difficult when you are in a creative field because it is hard to make a living however I don't feel in your case that you are wasting your time. The only problem or trouble you will experience is if you don't give it your all and you become lazy along the way. Buckle down and prepare to utilize the next eighteen months to develop and expand your horizons in both the field of acting as well as playwriting. You may be able to incorporate the two (example - My Big Fat Greek Wedding). The best investment you can make in your life is to invest in yourself so get moving.

I have been in love with my husband for a very long time. Our relationship has weathered many ups and downs but the past few years have been particularly difficult. He has been unfaithful and is currently unable to make a decision between staying and recommitting to our marriage or not. I was born on april29/55 (@ 5:55pm). He is a Scorpio (November 17/55). With all that we have been through (on a variety of levels) my heart still hopes for an honest chance at happiness. I can't bear this pain.

I can understand your position. As a Taurus with a strong Cancer and Scorpio influence you don't really relish disruptions of any kind especially when it has to do with your home, family and security. The comparison with your husband was okay but it did lack some pizzazz. He may be a Scorpio but when it comes to love and romance he has his natal Venus in the sign Sagittarius and that is usually an indication that married or not he will always be a bachelor at heart. I think it's time to set him free and get on with your life. You have a lot to offer and can still find love and romance with someone more worthy of your loyalty, dedication and devotion. You need to start doing the activities you used to enjoy, get back into the swing of things. It may be frightening at first but you will be fine. Keep in mind that it can be extremely lonely living with someone who pays little attention to you. You deserve more and you can have it. Your chart indicates that it's time to focus on yourself and your future. I feel that if your husband saw you as a challenge he may want to reconcile, however if I were you, I'd think long and hard before I'd jump into that situation again. You match up well to those born under the signs Taurus, Cancer, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces. Take note that the Scorpio in your husband's chart is what initially attracted you, not the Sagittarius. Another Scorpio with his natal Venus in Scorpio, Capricorn or Virgo would probably match up quite nicely.
