I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

Dear Eugenia,
I am a 27-year-old Pisces born February 28, 1976, at 5:30 PM and I have recently been made aware of 'Saturn Return' in my chart? This could explain my exhaustion and frustration over the last couple of years. I am tired of being self-employed, I realize it has taken away from my social life and financially I am just hanging on. I have recently interviewed for summer work to alleviate the stresses, with no luck. Though I seem at peace with life I don't have the securities my peers have, career, social and romantic stability. I do admit I would like to settle down. Is it this 'Saturn Return' that is affecting my life? Will it go away? At this point, any advice or words of hope would help.

Your Saturn return hasn't begun yet. Although you will start to feel the impact of your Saturn return over the next year it will actually have the strongest affect on you between late August of next year (2004) and will remain with you for approximately one year ending late July 2005. During that time you will reevaluate your life and make decisions based on the way you feel about your past. It is a pivotal point in a person's life when Saturn returns. Some people do well with it because they take the initiative, make the necessary changes and proceed in a positive and upward motion. Others find it overwhelming and decide that what they have achieved is all life has to offer and that they are too old to make changes - which I might add is ridiculous and a cop out. As for you I do not see your Saturn return as being that much of a problem. Regarding what has been causing you all the friction the past several years I would have to say is transiting Uranus and Neptune moving through the sign Aquarius. You were born with your Moon, Mercury and Venus in that sign in an area of your chart that does deal with work. Unfortunately it has played havoc with you and although it isn't over yet I do believe that you will always go back to doing your own thing. You are innovative, creative and have a good chart when it comes to work and money. If you want to work for someone else that is fine. You should be able to land a decent job shortly. I might suggest however that you do try to keep your business running on the side. I feel that if you do it will pick up giving you the satisfaction you need. As for your social, personal and home life - well that is where transiting Saturn has been affecting your life the past couple of years putting a damper on relationships and in general your social life. You will be coming into a much higher cycle regarding such matters as transiting Saturn moves into the sign Cancer coupled with Uranus which has just moved briefly into the sign Pisces opening up all sorts of new opportunities and changes regarding both business and personal partnerships. It's time to prepare for change and don't be afraid to partner up with someone in all aspects of your life. You may discover that joining forces with someone regarding your business may be a prosperous journey as well. Hello my birth date is Jan 11th of 1980, at 7:18 a.m. My boyfriends birthday is May 24th of 1975, not sure the time, is using drugs (so I believe) I have known him for 9 years and I also was a drug addict until Jan 19th of 2004. I was incarcerated for one year and been clean ever since. I also had my child while I was incarcerated on June 13th of 2004 at 12:25 in the afternoon. She is the reason why I'm clean today. She is so precious to me and I love her to death. I will do anything for her I even quit smoking. But her father bob I think is still using. You see he lives 2 and 1/2 hours away. He really doesn't do anything for our child he has given me only $50.00 since she was born and only seen her about 6 times in 9 months. I'm afraid for him and I want a better life for him. I just don't know what he's thinking anymore. Since his mother passed away 4 years ago it's like he always looked at life as nothing but a downhill for him. He thinks everybody is out to get him and that there's some kind of curse on him cause everything bad always happens when something good comes along. Do you see any future with us being a family at all? Do you see me being an independent mother? I want everything for my child. Bob hasn't been there for me through a lot and I hate him for that. But deep down inside I love him. After all I did for him. He has been trying to get clean but I don't think its working out for him. I talked to him on the phone this morning and he sounded messed up. He said he was going to call me back but never did. When I called him tonight his father told me he went out... go figure. His best friend mike passed away this morning and it was an overdose. I have been through a lot and well I was just wondering if you see a brighter future for me. I live with my parents and its exhausting raising my child in my parent's household. Well I hope you respond to this letter.. Thank you for your time.

You should be very proud of yourself. It isn't easy to beat addiction. Now you have to protect you and your little girl from the perils of that whole scene. Your boyfriend does not match up well to either you or your daughter. It is best for you to walk away from him and not look back. You need to focus on yourself and getting ahead. It is apparent that you should be upgrading or learning a new skill between now and the early part of next year. This will enable you to get a decent job that will not only lead to your freedom but security for you and your baby. You are fortunate to have parents who care enough to help you after going down the path you choose in the past. I'm sure they are very proud of you as well. I can't stress enough that you must leave your past where it is and not venture near your Gemini friend. I do not believe that at any point he will be good for you. Your chart indicates that you are in a high cycle this summer and fall regarding love and romance. There is the chance that your ex will try to come back into your life at that time as well. Please do not entertain the thought of getting back with him - not even for a moment. Move ahead and date someone new. You should have an astrological comparison done with whomever you decide to date just to be sure that you have picked wisely. You don't have the best track record when it comes to picking partners. You match up well to those born under the signs Taurus, Cancer, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces. The signs Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius are definitely not good for you. I e-mailed you, back in January, and you answered me, with quite accurate answers. My question right now is, what the heck is going on with my health, and money or to better phrase Andre` and my money. First, I'll tell you about my health. First of all in mid-May my bottom tooth became loose, and fell out. Then on April 26, I broke my collar from working out, with weights, and all the tone I had built up were gone after 3 weeks. Andre' and had been saving for our first holiday in 2 yrs. All of sudden every thing started going wrong with our car, eating up our savings. Then I started feeling really sick, so Andre' said let's just stay home, and I'll use the rest of our savings, stay home and I'll take care of you. I don't mean to flit back and forth, but in the mean time I was going from doctor to emergency here in Kingston. I'm sorry to take so much of your time, but it's a weird time for us. Finally on the 24th of July, I ended up in emergency again and was sent home with Gravol. I spent the 2 days in bed, desperately ill. Andre' wanted to stay home, I wanted to visit our family, both come from the same place, and there were 2 hospitals there, (about 40 miles in difference). When we arrived near his parents home I had to "pee", I saw myself in the bathroom mirror and knew immediately " I had to go to the Hospital". I was examined and stayed over night, then was sent to another hospital, by ambulance, 40 miles away for emergency surgery. I had an abscess on my bowels, perforated intestines, and to many other things that would take too long to explain, in the already "too long" e-mail that I'm taking much of your time with? Finally, Eugenia, I flat lined, at hospital and am very glad to be here. I would like to know if you see in my health area any more serious problems, or was that enough for a while. My next question won't take so long. Andre' has asked me to marry him, in 2004, if you answer Yes, what month and time should it be? If your answer No, please let me know why. My birth date is January 31,1949, birth time 1:31 a.m. his birth date is May 09,1955, 5:30 a.m.

Your chart does show some evidence of chronic health problems that were set off this past year however they appear to have cleared up mid summer. Should you continue to have problems there is another area in your chart that could result in continuing troubles especially where blood disorders, allergies, skin, bones and teeth problems are concerned. All these little irritations can end up causing problems with work. The other scenarios that can happen with the type of transits you are experiencing are a series of job changes, a change in your status (marriage) and a change of residence. All in all however I do feel that your chart is not bad and that with proper care, diet and exercise you should be able to build your strength back up and continue to live a normal life again.
You match up to your Taurus man rather well and I would consider getting married May 1st, June 12th or July 17th. I really didn't see any red flags in the comparison and in felt that emotionally, and physically you were quite in synch. Mentally you won't always feel the same way about things but I have yet to see a comparison that indicates that the couple will agree on everything.
