This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.

Dear Eugenia,

I am a 27-year-old Pisces born February 28, 1976, at 5:30 PM and I have recently been made aware of 'Saturn Return' in my chart? This could explain my exhaustion and frustration over the last couple of years. I am tired of being self-employed, I realize it has taken away from my social life and financially I am just hanging on. I have recently interviewed for summer work to alleviate the stresses, with no luck. Though I seem at peace with life I don't have the securities my peers have, career, social and romantic stability. I do admit I would like to settle down. Is it this 'Saturn Return' that is affecting my life? Will it go away? At this point, any advice or words of hope would help.

Your Saturn return hasn't begun yet. Although you will start to feel the impact of your Saturn return over the next year it will actually have the strongest affect on you between late August of next year (2004) and will remain with you for approximately one year ending late July 2005. During that time you will reevaluate your life and make decisions based on the way you feel about your past. It is a pivotal point in a person's life when Saturn returns. Some people do well with it because they take the initiative, make the necessary changes and proceed in a positive and upward motion. Others find it overwhelming and decide that what they have achieved is all life has to offer and that they are too old to make changes - which I might add is ridiculous and a cop out. As for you I do not see your Saturn return as being that much of a problem. Regarding what has been causing you all the friction the past several years I would have to say is transiting Uranus and Neptune moving through the sign Aquarius. You were born with your Moon, Mercury and Venus in that sign in an area of your chart that does deal with work. Unfortunately it has played havoc with you and although it isn't over yet I do believe that you will always go back to doing your own thing. You are innovative, creative and have a good chart when it comes to work and money. If you want to work for someone else that is fine. You should be able to land a decent job shortly. I might suggest however that you do try to keep your business running on the side. I feel that if you do it will pick up giving you the satisfaction you need. As for your social, personal and home life - well that is where transiting Saturn has been affecting your life the past couple of years putting a damper on relationships and in general your social life. You will be coming into a much higher cycle regarding such matters as transiting Saturn moves into the sign Cancer coupled with Uranus which has just moved briefly into the sign Pisces opening up all sorts of new opportunities and changes regarding both business and personal partnerships. It's time to prepare for change and don't be afraid to partner up with someone in all aspects of your life. You may discover that joining forces with someone regarding your business may be a prosperous journey as well. Article: A Soon Departure

Dear Eugenia:

I have written several letters to but to no avail. I realize you are really busy but I need some help. Please consider reading this letter. I have gone to others for advice but I am still confused. I am strongly thinking about getting a divorce. I have only been married for about a year and a half. I realize I haven't given my relationship much time but I can't take my husband anymore. He is a Scorpio born on November 17, 1964. I am a Leo born on July 26, 1973 at 7:40 PM. The problem is he a Jekel & Hyde. For the past several months all he does is drink and do drugs. He hasn't started abusing me but he's been close to it. I am really scared of him and disappointed in myself. I have had bad relationships in the past and feel as if I made a huge mistake with this one to. Is this relationship going anywhere?I am just not happy with anything anymore and feel as if everything else around me is falling apart. Please give me some guidance. Thanks for your help.

It appears to me that you are probably both dissatisfied with your current relationship. The comparison lacked in many ways and although you may have been able to be friends at one point too much has probably occurred for that to be the case now. If you want to try to make it work get counseling however it is apparent that you will probably leave, if not right now during the first half of next year. I do believe that your husband can be excessive in his habits and it is obvious that he does have a temper, however it is apparent that he will react much worse when he isn't happy. I believe that you both made a mistake and that you are probably best to walk away. If you are afraid of his reaction, I suggest that you get help from your family or friends when you move out.

Article: Changing His Ways

Dear Eugenia:

I am in a dilemma right now my best friend has gotten into some trouble with the law, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He is going through a tough time being locked up, we have been the best of friends for over 3 years and in the beginning of our friendship we started out in a romantic relationship. Well a lot happened and I guess you could say it wasn't our time, but we continued to develop a strong friendship bond which nothing could destroy, and since he has been locked up I have been to visit him twice. His charge is nothing really major so he won't be in jail long but over the last 16 days in jail he said that his eyes have opened up to so much and he sees things so clearly. He has seen his faults and he is going to change he says that I am all he thinks about and he knows that I am really the only one that has always been there for him and I have stood by him through everything. He asks me if I am going to wait for him. He keeps making remarks about me, him and us, and getting back what we once had. He knows how strongly I feel for him and that I would do anything for him. I would give anything to have back what we once had. My question is should I take him and everything he has said seriously or should I just take it as "Jail talk"

You didn't submit your best friends birth data so I really can't tell you where he's coming from but I do know by your chart that this is not the best time for relationships. That confusion is definitely in an area of your chart that deals with your personal life. You are coming into your Saturn return next year and this will be a period in your life that you reevaluate what you have done up until this point. It is a time of change, turning things around, getting ready to move into your next stage of life. You have time right now to wait and see how sincere your friend is but don't fool yourself. He is lonely and although he means what he is saying right now it may be a different story when he gets out of jail. Protect your heart and wait and see. There is nothing wrong with friendship for the time being. After all you will build a much stronger relationship if you are friends first.
