I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.

For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.

I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

Dear Eugenia,

I am a 27-year-old Pisces born February 28, 1976, at 5:30 PM and I have recently been made aware of 'Saturn Return' in my chart? This could explain my exhaustion and frustration over the last couple of years. I am tired of being self-employed, I realize it has taken away from my social life and financially I am just hanging on. I have recently interviewed for summer work to alleviate the stresses, with no luck. Though I seem at peace with life I don't have the securities my peers have, career, social and romantic stability. I do admit I would like to settle down. Is it this 'Saturn Return' that is affecting my life? Will it go away? At this point, any advice or words of hope would help.

Your Saturn return hasn't begun yet. Although you will start to feel the impact of your Saturn return over the next year it will actually have the strongest affect on you between late August of next year (2004) and will remain with you for approximately one year ending late July 2005. During that time you will reevaluate your life and make decisions based on the way you feel about your past. It is a pivotal point in a person's life when Saturn returns. Some people do well with it because they take the initiative, make the necessary changes and proceed in a positive and upward motion. Others find it overwhelming and decide that what they have achieved is all life has to offer and that they are too old to make changes - which I might add is ridiculous and a cop out. As for you I do not see your Saturn return as being that much of a problem. Regarding what has been causing you all the friction the past several years I would have to say is transiting Uranus and Neptune moving through the sign Aquarius. You were born with your Moon, Mercury and Venus in that sign in an area of your chart that does deal with work. Unfortunately it has played havoc with you and although it isn't over yet I do believe that you will always go back to doing your own thing. You are innovative, creative and have a good chart when it comes to work and money. If you want to work for someone else that is fine. You should be able to land a decent job shortly. I might suggest however that you do try to keep your business running on the side. I feel that if you do it will pick up giving you the satisfaction you need. As for your social, personal and home life - well that is where transiting Saturn has been affecting your life the past couple of years putting a damper on relationships and in general your social life. You will be coming into a much higher cycle regarding such matters as transiting Saturn moves into the sign Cancer coupled with Uranus which has just moved briefly into the sign Pisces opening up all sorts of new opportunities and changes regarding both business and personal partnerships. It's time to prepare for change and don't be afraid to partner up with someone in all aspects of your life. You may discover that joining forces with someone regarding your business may be a prosperous journey as well. Article: Need a Quiet Time

Dear. Eugenia,

This is the first time for me to try this out so bear with me! My life lately has been busy with work, school, friends, and family and I never seam to find time for myself. Lately I have been catching myself slipping up on important things like my homework and spending time with my friends.

I don't really understand why I am doing this; I'm not the type of person to slack in school and especially with my friends. I have tried to sit down and make myself do homework and talk to my friends, but I just can't. Can you tell me if I am ever going to get out of this stage? I was born April 15, 1983, at 1:03 PM.

Your chart indicates that you are going through a lot of changes and this can cause confusion and an inability to concentrate on what it is you are supposed to be doing. Your life is busy right now and that is not about to change over the course of the year ahead. You will have to take the time you require and pamper yourself a little or you will find that it will become impossible for you to get your work done or give the time required to your friends. The friends that are worth spending time with will understand if you tell them how burnt out you are and that you need quiet time to yourself. In fact they will probably help you out if they can in order to free up some of your time. Communication is all that is required. Tell others how you feel and what you are experiencing and they will help you get through it. Regarding your educational pursuits, you should find it easier to concentrate next year.

Article: Waiting for a Response

Dear Eugenia,

My Birth date is May 17, 1957, 8:18 PM. I graduated last October with my master's degree in business and have been searching ever since for a job. I have put out numerous resumes to companies and not once have I even received a call back or even a thank you. I've had several people review my resume thinking that I hadn't used the proper verbiage, or didn't state my objective. I've even spoken with other astrologers asking the same question and all I get is this period looks good or that period looks good but to no avail I still have no job. I'm at a loss I've even gone to headhunters and still nothing. Can I please ask if you foresee anything in the near future?

Dear Victoria

I have to admit that with the birth data you provided you should in fact have been getting a response over the past eight months. Although this period will remain with you until March of next year I find it strange that you have not even had as much as an interview. The only conclusion that I can make is that your birth time may not be accurate. My suggestion however is to keep cold calling and putting out your resume as the period coming up does look promising. I feel that you might also start looking outside your local region, as it would not be a bad idea for you to make a move. The area of your chart that deals with your residence will be in a high cycle regarding change or a move shortly so that may be an indication that you should be looking for work elsewhere. I also believe that if your chart is accurate you may be holding yourself back by only applying for jobs that you feel are worthy of your degree. You may have to take a lower position and work your way up. Often when you come out of school companies are not willing to give you a chance. You are probably best to start applying for somewhat lower positions in order to get your foot in the door. Once you start working I'm sure that you will advance quickly.
