I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

Dear Eugenia,
I am a 27-year-old Pisces born February 28, 1976, at 5:30 PM and I have recently been made aware of 'Saturn Return' in my chart? This could explain my exhaustion and frustration over the last couple of years. I am tired of being self-employed, I realize it has taken away from my social life and financially I am just hanging on. I have recently interviewed for summer work to alleviate the stresses, with no luck. Though I seem at peace with life I don't have the securities my peers have, career, social and romantic stability. I do admit I would like to settle down. Is it this 'Saturn Return' that is affecting my life? Will it go away? At this point, any advice or words of hope would help.

Your Saturn return hasn't begun yet. Although you will start to feel the impact of your Saturn return over the next year it will actually have the strongest affect on you between late August of next year (2004) and will remain with you for approximately one year ending late July 2005. During that time you will reevaluate your life and make decisions based on the way you feel about your past. It is a pivotal point in a person's life when Saturn returns. Some people do well with it because they take the initiative, make the necessary changes and proceed in a positive and upward motion. Others find it overwhelming and decide that what they have achieved is all life has to offer and that they are too old to make changes - which I might add is ridiculous and a cop out. As for you I do not see your Saturn return as being that much of a problem. Regarding what has been causing you all the friction the past several years I would have to say is transiting Uranus and Neptune moving through the sign Aquarius. You were born with your Moon, Mercury and Venus in that sign in an area of your chart that does deal with work. Unfortunately it has played havoc with you and although it isn't over yet I do believe that you will always go back to doing your own thing. You are innovative, creative and have a good chart when it comes to work and money. If you want to work for someone else that is fine. You should be able to land a decent job shortly. I might suggest however that you do try to keep your business running on the side. I feel that if you do it will pick up giving you the satisfaction you need. As for your social, personal and home life - well that is where transiting Saturn has been affecting your life the past couple of years putting a damper on relationships and in general your social life. You will be coming into a much higher cycle regarding such matters as transiting Saturn moves into the sign Cancer coupled with Uranus which has just moved briefly into the sign Pisces opening up all sorts of new opportunities and changes regarding both business and personal partnerships. It's time to prepare for change and don't be afraid to partner up with someone in all aspects of your life. You may discover that joining forces with someone regarding your business may be a prosperous journey as well. I grew up alone and lonely, but didn't mind, as it was all I knew. After 18 yrs of a (almost) happy marriage he left and again I have been alone for 18 yrs. I could have gotten married twice, but they both smothered me and wanted to just follow me around all the time. I raised one kid who is an attorney. Everyone thinks I am a happy, fun person, but really I am so tired of battling life alone. Will this ever change? I listen to co-workers who have families or husbands to cook for and I envy them so much. Also financially I just hang on and worry about a roof over my head and food on the table. I refuse to be a burden to my kid. Will this ever change?

You will have the opportunities to change things and the timing will be right but it won't happen unless you take the initiative and do something about your situation. Even as I write to you, your chart indicates that favorable transits have begun in an area that deals with work and money. If you aren't being paid enough for your services consider picking up extra work on the side or starting your own small business on the side. The possibility of a raise or moving to a better position is also available to you. I believe that if you can put some cash aside that your son can probably help you invest it ins something that will make money for you over the course of the next year and a half. Regarding love that too is moving into a high cycle this fall and will remain with you for the next year. You must however get out and meet people. The possibility of meeting someone through work related events or an organization you join is likely. You match up well to those born under the signs Aries, Gemini, Leo Sagittarius and Aquarius.

Dear Eugenia:
I had watched your show about a woman with cancer making preparations for her family. You said her illness was not going to go into a remission that she needed to prepare.
I hope you may be able to better enable me and my family in the passing of my father.Recently he has been diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and it is terminal. Radiation has been given to him to help him in quality of life and to slow the inevitable. I fear he doesn't have long. His birth date is Feb 13 1936.I don't live close to my father and have financial struggles. I was able to fly out for a week. We shared happy memories and also said our good byes. He has just had a "step down" in his health and response to his pain medications. This happened while my brothers were here for a visit. They immediately flew back home (they live in the same city), to be with Dad. I too want to go to him, but I must time my visit and budget. I also have three small children, ages 10 months, 2 years and 6years. I need to make sure they are taken care of.
I guess my question is, when should I go...or how long does my Dad have? When should I go?
As I mentioned, I do need to know rather quickly as I don't think he has very long.
Dad's birth date is Feb 13 1936, 2:00 pm
My birthday is Oct 16th 1970
My brothers are April 19 1963 and July 7 1965
My children are Sept 8 2002, Feb 2 2001, July 7 1997

Daddy's little Libra
Dear Daddy's little Libra
It is the time you spend with him while he is still coherent that counts my dear so what are you waiting for. Once he's gone there is nothing you can do for him it will only be to comfort yourself and other family members. The quality time however is now while you can bring him joy by sharing fond memories and make him feel more comfortable by taking his mind off his deterioration. It is difficult to tell you when he might pass - only God has the answer to that question. According to his chart however the possibility of living another year and a half is present but it certainly would not be a great quality of life and for his sake and that of the family some of the transits he is experiencing between now and the end of the year could be enough to take him which would probably be a blessing. It is never easy to lose someone you love but having experienced that love and the obvious connection that the two of you had will allow him to live on through you. You matched up well with your Sun signs being at a precise trine to one another. Your chart indicates that you should be going to see him in August/September of this year. It will do you both a lot of good to have this time together. Without the rest of your families birth times it is hard for me to be more specific regarding his passing but it is apparent that the aftermath will hit you and your Cancer brother first and your Aries brother later on. Hold together as a family and take time to share the different memories that each one of you has with your dad so that you can all understand the dynamics of your family and your roots much better. With this your father will be remembered in a much deeper way by all of you.
