I have dated. I have been engaged a few times but never married (I think I always took marriage too seriously -- and never could promise to do all that marriage entails). I had a loving relationship with a man who had a terminal illness, who died in '95. I have always kept the door open in my heart that I might find a life-long partner, but now I wonder: should I shut the door on this option? I'm not afraid of being alone. I am afraid of nurturing false hope in myself. I was born January 6, 1953, at 5:45 am.

You should never close the door on love, romance, marriage, partnership etc. One of the reasons why you have gone the route but never crossed the line when it came to marriage is due to having your natal Uranus in an area of your chart that deals with relationships opposite your Sun in an area of your chart that deals with your personal outlook. This has probably caused you or your partners throughout life to back away or have a change of heart at the last minute. With transiting Saturn moving into that area of your chart there has never been a better time to find love and get serious then now. Also with your Moon in the sign Virgo it isn't unusual for you to find love or get into a serious relationship during the second half of life. In your case you are moving into a high cycle regarding love right now and you should be out meeting new people. This particular transit can also bring someone from your past back into your life so perhaps if there is someone you still think about you should readdress this relationship. In the past the timing was probably wrong with this person. This is a great year for you creatively, educationally and where growth is concerned. You should be expanding your circle of friends, getting involved in discussions or courses that will alter your philosophy, attitude, lifestyle and outlook. You are going through changes and that is part of the reason you are feeling somewhat concerned or restless about finding love or backing away from it completely. Dear Eugenia:
This is my second attempt to write you concerning this problem that seems to be overwhelming to me.I became reacquainted with someone (b/d 3/31/46 mine 9/8/47) from my hometown after 30 years. He lives an hour away and we have spent a year of his coming to visit weekends and numerous phone calls daily. We became one another's best friend as well as lovers. It seemed our progressing relationship was going well. We had a wonderful 3-day weekend, the next two days our phone calls continued just like normal. Then out of the blue he breaks it off. When he broke it off he said he didn't love me. He wanted to leave his personal items here for a while. I waited and was horribly depressed. Sent them back. He was upset and says it was his fault. He says he has been doing a lot of soul searching about why he got scared. He said it seems he never let anyone in and thinks it stems from a childhood problem. Now he says if I can give him a few more days or weeks he hopes he can resolve his issues. He continued to say we had something special.
What is going on with him? Can he resolve these issues? Will we be able to overcome these problems? How do I deal with this? He is a wonderful man but he has hurt me deeply and I care very much for him. It could be a great relationship for my part, his I don't know.
I am not able to cope with another loss in my life. I've lost too many people to death and I just don't have the strength to be hurt again.

The comparison is quite good but I do believe that there is something that your Aries man isn't telling you. It may not be something that will matter to you but it obviously does to him. Wait it out and give the guy a chance. You've got some time to spare right now. Later this year and the first half of next year are better for you where relationships and romance are concerned so if he doesn't make his move by the fall be prepared to get out and meet new and potentially better partners. I am very confused and concerned about my current relationship. I was born 11-30-77 at 11:38am and my boyfriend was born 12-14-75 at 1:08pm. We have a very strong physical attraction for one another, but our fights are often and our comments are brutal. He has a very quick and explosive temper, but treats me very well otherwise. He is not jealous or controlling, but very sensitive. What type of connection do we have that makes us so inseparable? We cannot spend more than two days without one another, almost as if we are the same person. We are both becoming very dependent on each other and neither of us have ever had that type of personality. We both were "bachelors" of the zodiac breaking hearts left and right and partying all the time until we met each other. Is this relationship healthy? What is it about our signs that have made us completely different people enthralled by each other? But almost TOO passionate?

I like same sign relationships. I believe however that you are both going through the rush of love and that the physical connection is so powerful that neither one of you can get past it at the moment. The rest of the comparison isn't too bad. I feel that you both tend to evade issues and neglect to be completely honest with one another. The fact that you fight a lot doesn't surprise me either. It isn't unusual for people to point a finger at their partner especially if they themselves are guilty of similar things. Your Sagittarius partner, like yourself, will always be a bachelor even if you live together, get married and so on. Over the course of the next two years you will both experience a need to settle down and this could help the relationship progress positively. Keep in mind however that it is impossible to curtail, confine or restrict an Archer without causing problems. Your Sagittarius partner does have a temper and that should concern you. I believe that he is intense and that you can bring out the worst in him when it comes to arguments. The combination between the two of you can become quite volatile at times.
