I have dated. I have been engaged a few times but never married (I think I always took marriage too seriously -- and never could promise to do all that marriage entails). I had a loving relationship with a man who had a terminal illness, who died in '95. I have always kept the door open in my heart that I might find a life-long partner, but now I wonder: should I shut the door on this option? I'm not afraid of being alone. You should never close the door on love, romance, marriage, partnership etc. One of the reasons why you have gone the route but never crossed the line when it came to marriage is due to having your natal Uranus in an area of your chart that deals with relationships opposite your Sun in an area of your chart that deals with your personal outlook. This has probably caused you or your partners throughout life to back away or have a change of heart at the last minute. With transiting Saturn moving into that area of your chart there has never been a better time to find love and get serious then now. Also with your Moon in the sign Virgo it isn't unusual for you to find love or get into a serious relationship during the second half of life. In your case you are moving into a high cycle regarding love right now and you should be out meeting new people. This particular transit can also bring someone from your past back into your life so perhaps if there is someone you still think about you should readdress this relationship. In the past the timing was probably wrong with this person. This is a great year for you creatively, educationally and where growth is concerned. You should be expanding your circle of friends, getting involved in discussions or courses that will alter your philosophy, attitude, lifestyle and outlook. You are going through changes and that is part of the reason you are feeling somewhat concerned or restless about finding love or backing away from it completely. Article: From Perplexed

Dear Eugenia,

I used to read your horoscopes daily in the Kansas City newspaper. I wrote you around March to ask for your help regarding my situation with my husband (born November 17, 1976). At the time he was leaving me alone all of the time and telling me he no longer wanted to be married. You suggested that I leave him alone and concentrate on myself for a while because love would be more likely in the fall and either he'd return or I would find someone else. Right on cue he has returned asking to go back to how things were before. But now I've changed and I have met someone else (born May 7, 1973). Now I feel like I am being torn apart because I believe marriage is for life and I should be doing everything I can to make it work, but for so long I was trying so hard alone and was unwanted. I feel like there is too much that has taken place between us. The other person came into my life two months ago as a friend and something clicked between us. Now I don't know what to do. I am so hurt that all I want to do is run away from all of this. Please tell me who has the best comparison. In my heart I think I already know, but I really need advice. Thank you.

I can certainly see your dilemma after running an astrological comparison between you and the two men in your life. They both match up about the same. In the case of your Taurus friend I do have to say that there is some sorrow that shows up in the comparison so I believe that if you choose him you will have regrets or that it won't end up being any better with him than it is with your husband. With your husband I believe that you can't just let him come back with the intentions of having things be the same as they were before he left. I believe that you must set some ground rules. That you must talk about why your marriage wasn't working and what you both need from one another in order to make it better. Keeping things the same will only result in a vicious circle. The comparison with your husband is better physically and mentally and although that may not be apparent right now it is only because you have been with him so much longer than you have with your Taurus friend. I believe you owe it to yourself and to your husband to give it another chance. Please communicate this time so that things don't go array.

Article: An Attraction That May Not Last

Please let this be one of the letters you answer this week. I am absolutely in awe of my new friend of eight months. I was born July 2, 1973 at 4:57am and he was born January 4, 1965, I don't know his birth time. But, I do know that I have never respected, admired and been infatuated with anyone like this in my life. I would like to know if you look at both of our charts, can you explain this magnetic attraction that we have for each other that has not seemed to fade? Please write me back.

Hold on, the fact that you are polar opposites can create the type of magic that you are both feeling however that doesn't always last. I call the stage that you are in right now the rush of love and although we would all love that feeling to last a lifetime it usually doesn't last much more than a couple of years if you are lucky. When the rush slows down you have to hope that you have built a strong base of friendship, sharing, caring and all the other things that make a relationship lasting. In your particular case the comparison was okay but that doesn't mean that it won't take work. You are both very different and it will be important that you allow one another to remain unique without shutting the other out because of lack of interest in the same things. Tread carefully, but enjoy what you have at the moment. There is no greater feeling than the rush of love.
