This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.

Dear Eugenia,

I am in love with a guy that 'fired' me and dumped me all in the same day. He was attempting to teach me how to drive as a trucker. We remained friends for 2 weeks. I am trying to get into a truck driving school, I asked him if I could borrow one of his vehicles, the school is out of state and I have no vehicle of my own. He is so boiling mad and fuming that I even asked that question! He is not my friend anymore, he says, that I was using him, which I was not. But yet, he would like to know how I am doing in school, and also said that he is still quite fond of me. He will not even consider any kind of friendship with me until after he is over being mad at me. He wants no contact from me, but said to email him or call him when I am in school. He said that after I am in school, we would take it from there. Am I getting mixed signals or what? We were together for 5 weeks on the road; not understanding how you can fire someone you weren't even paying.....I have no idea how long it will take him to get over being mad at me; or if there is a chance of winning back his friendship. I was born on 6/22/60 at 10:32 am. He was born 9/8/61. Do I hold any hope of ever regaining his friendship and maybe a relationship again? Thank you.

The comparison certainly had some hot connections. It is apparent that emotionally and physically you do hook up but mentally there will be problems. Arguments and misunderstandings can be expected. I believe that this could turn out to be one of those love/hate relationships where you can't live with or without the other person. Back up, slow down and start all over. When you finish your trucker's course contact him and try to keep everything open, honest and amiable. If you can do so you may stand a chance at making this one work. If you find that it's just too difficult don't despair. You will be in a high cycle for love next summer. Article: A Major Problem

Dear Eugenia,

You must be busy replying to so many letters to those people who need your help.

My life condition at the moment is really hectic. I'm a 25 year old male born May 25, 1976, at 11:40 PM, who just broke up with his girlfriend, and very sad about it. Meanwhile, I am also confused about my future. I've been thinking I have been lucky throughout my life. However, as I get older, so many bad things continuously happen. For example, condition at home is not stable. I'd like to continue my studying but I don't put enough into it. I'd like to transfer to a better university. Then I will try my best. I don't know what kind of job will suit me nor do I know what I want to major in. These days, I don't feel like living. I'd like to make a success so that I can help my parents'...will I get accepted?? What kind of major should I take? I'd like to hear your advice Eugenia ...any suggestion will do.

I understand your quandary however your chart indicates that you will continue to be confused regarding your educational pursuits. You have had transiting Neptune adversely aspected to your natal Moon, Mars, Saturn and Uranus in an area that deals with education for some time now and unfortunately it will remain there until the end of 2001. This can also be what has caused your lack of trying to do well scholastically. Now this doesn?t mean that you should forget about trying or that you should quit school. What it does mean is that you may change your mind several times throughout this period regarding your future direction. My suggestion is that you do one of two things. Continue to study general courses that will leave you as much maneuverability as possible so that when you do decide what you want to major in you will not have to back track. Or, you may want to take some time out and get a job. That way you can help your parents financially and get a better idea regarding what direction in life you would eventually like to pursue. According to your chart you show abilities where communications, teaching, horticulture, sales and the travel industry are concerned. I do see your dilemma and although law isn't a bad choice if you don't feel that it is what you want to do with your life you need to rethink your game plan. Your chart also indicates that you would do well in the communication or travel industries. You might enjoy teaching, traveling, working in the arts or some form of work that is a little unusual. If you decide to follow through with law I suggest that you consider entertainment law, litigation or working with law enforcement. You do have favorable transits moving through your chart regarding educational pursuits and you should keep in mind that anything you study or learn will never be a waste. The question is can you afford to study law and continue to educate yourself in other fields as well. Your chart also indicates that you could work within the field of medicine or nutrition however I believe that your concern may be where you will eventually end up making the most money. If this is the case I want you to also keep in mind that if you don't enjoy what you are doing for a living that the money may not be worth the aggravation.
