This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.

Dear Eugenia,

I am in love with a guy that 'fired' me and dumped me all in the same day. He was attempting to teach me how to drive as a trucker. We remained friends for 2 weeks. I am trying to get into a truck driving school, I asked him if I could borrow one of his vehicles, the school is out of state and I have no vehicle of my own. He is so boiling mad and fuming that I even asked that question! He is not my friend anymore, he says, that I was using him, which I was not. But yet, he would like to know how I am doing in school, and also said that he is still quite fond of me. He will not even consider any kind of friendship with me until after he is over being mad at me. He wants no contact from me, but said to email him or call him when I am in school. He said that after I am in school, we would take it from there. Am I getting mixed signals or what? We were together for 5 weeks on the road; not understanding how you can fire someone you weren't even paying.....I have no idea how long it will take him to get over being mad at me; or if there is a chance of winning back his friendship. I was born on 6/22/60 at 10:32 am. He was born 9/8/61. Do I hold any hope of ever regaining his friendship and maybe a relationship again? Thank you.

The comparison certainly had some hot connections. It is apparent that emotionally and physically you do hook up but mentally there will be problems. Arguments and misunderstandings can be expected. I believe that this could turn out to be one of those love/hate relationships where you can't live with or without the other person. Back up, slow down and start all over. When you finish your trucker's course contact him and try to keep everything open, honest and amiable. If you can do so you may stand a chance at making this one work. If you find that it's just too difficult don't despair. You will be in a high cycle for love next summer. Article: Nothing Going Right

Dear Ms. Last,

This is not the first time I have written you, but I do understand that you have received an incredible amount of mail. I would like some astrological advice on your part. First, I was born March 21, 1972 at 12.50 am. In 1997, I decided to return to college and do my Masters Degree. I am currently writing the thesis and it feels never ending. I suffered from a depression last year with suicidal tendencies, although I did not go through with my actions. I have gotten help, but I've the feeling the cycle is not over. Recently, my car was crashed into and declared a total loss by the insurance company. I cannot afford a new one, as my debt is already quite large. I lost my reading glasses yesterday and don't know how I will afford a new pair. I do work, however the stress of my job has compounded as I have become my boss's "go to" person, even though I am only a part time office clerk and he has at least 5 full time girls on staff. I have started crying a lot again, and tend to be depressed and oh so overwhelmed. I feel I will never finish my thesis that is due in the fall, after 2 extensions. I try to remember the reasons I decided to return to school, but at present, I do not see the positive aspect.

In addition (like it had to get worse) I have been single a long time, and I am falling in love with my boss. We don't mention it, but we spend a lot of time together, and he's married. I know he is confused in his marriage. He was born December 8, 1959. Hence, my question is, will things get easier for me? I read my astrology regularly on your site, but I still feel I need to know that I have made the right decision, because at present, nothing seems right.

You have just been hit by your Saturn return. This is not only depressing but it makes you reevaluate everything that you have done up until this point of your life. Don't worry; some people have it sit with them for a long period of time. In your case it will only be there for another couple of weeks. Now that doesn't mean that it will be smooth sailing for you. Life doesn't work that way, but you should be able to start focusing on the more positive aspects of your life. The work and money area of your chart is in a high cycle and that means that you could probably find a new job that would be less stressful. You may have a thing for your boss but it probably isn't healthy for you to have to put up with him using you as his "go to" person and whatever else you allow him to use you for. You should be experiencing opportunities to meet someone new, preferably someone who isn't already attached. Regarding your thesis I suggest that you get working on it and get it out of the way once and for all. By the middle of the summer you are not going to want to do it. Later this year and well into next year you will be in a high cycle regarding romance again so you won't want to be sitting at home working trying to get your thesis out of the way. It's time to take control and set your game plan. Look for a new job, get the thesis out of the way and keep yourself available for potential relationships. Article: A Broken Heart Seeks Advice

Hi there Eugenia,

My birth date is July 15, 1979, at 3:15 PM. I've been involved in a gay relationship with another guy (Birth date: 03 June 1977 05:15 PM) for the last 3 months. When we started our relationship he was living with his ex and he said it was a "living arrangement"...I believed him. Anyway during our relationship he would rarely visit me (we stay in different cities) and behave oddly if I ran into him in a public place with his ex around. Eventually he came clean with me (his friends forced him to tell the truth) and it turned out that he'd been having a relationship with the "ex" at the same time as me, and recently started seeing yet another guy. After all of this and around 2 weeks of deciding what to do, I called him and we broke it off. Leaving me very hurt and confused...He still says that he loves me and everything we had was real, but I'm at a loss to describe the pain this has caused me. Especially since him and the new guy are now fully in a relationship. I'd really like some advice on this situation, and if I should be foolish enough to still hope that one day we will get back together...

You met your messiah, in other words you met someone who captured your heart and you had no power to pry yourself from him. The comparison was so powerful between you. This Gemini is just as bad for you as he is good. You can't however allow yourself to be played with this way. It isn't good for your self-esteem. You are too proud to forgive and you shouldn't forget. Playing sexual games can be dangerous and it's obvious that your Gemini friend doesn't care enough about any of his partners to be open and honest about his goings on. Unfortunately he probably will slip in and out of your life until you put a stop to it. I strongly suggest that you put up your guard and move on.
