I have been dating my boyfriend for 4 yrs now. He wants me to move in with him...and I don't want to. We see each other 1-2 days a week and I am happy with the way things are right now. I was married for 25 yrs before my divorce and my kids are now grown and I like living by myself. My fear is that my boyfriend will leave me soon...if I don't give in and move in with him. He has been very understanding but I don't know how much longer I can keep him from asking the big questions of why?? I wonder lately if maybe he is not the right man for me. Where do I begin, I'm 28 yrs old and have been looking for love. I've been out of a relationship for almost 2 yrs in which I was engaged to be married. This almost tore me apart but somehow I SURVIVED. I still have good and bad days but I think everything happens for a reason which takes me to my next point. I met a gentleman (born: February 21,1971) almost a year ago in which I was very attracted to and we became friends although I long for so much more however I know that his career is his first priority and anything else is on the back burner. I grew up alone and lonely, but didn't mind, as it was all I knew. After 18 yrs of a (almost) happy marriage he left and again I have been alone for 18 yrs. I could have gotten married twice, but they both smothered me and wanted to just follow me around all the time. I raised one kid who is an attorney. Everyone thinks I am a happy, fun person, but really I am so tired of battling life alone. Will this ever change? I listen to co-workers who have families or husbands to cook for and I envy them so much. Also financially I just hang on and worry about a roof over my head and food on the table.
