I have been dating my boyfriend for 4 yrs now. He wants me to move in with him...and I don't want to. We see each other 1-2 days a week and I am happy with the way things are right now. I was married for 25 yrs before my divorce and my kids are now grown and I like living by myself. My fear is that my boyfriend will leave me soon...if I don't give in and move in with him. I can understand your concern. The comparison wasn't all that great and there is definitely an element of sorrow and possible deception regarding this connection. The deception however could be your view of the relationship. You may not be looking at this union in the same way that she is. I believe that you may be taking it far more seriously and this can lead to future problems. You may want to rethink your motives and your intentions before you try to move forward with this person.
