I have been friends with a lady for 5 years and we have been dating for 2 years of that time. I am Aries born 31/3/1978 not sure the time and my girlfriend was born 23/9/1971 not sure on time.
About 2 weeks ago she split with me one day and went straight over to another guy the next day. Even though she said she was going to think about us. I found out now that they have been fully seeing each other and she already says she loves him. Why I am writing to you is I was wondering what would have been the better match for her.
He was born on the 24/9/1973 not sure the time. What I have read on the net is a lot and I figured out that I think that she and I would have been a better match for each other than her and this other guy. Could you please tell me up front if a Libra and an Aries are better for each other than a Libra and Libra? Also I have read that Libras are big on flirting and so on and that Libra males are always on the look out for something better if it comes long is this true???

Sun Sign Astrology is a fun approach to the subject but not that realistic. When you run a comparison you really have to look at all the planets involved etc in order to see how well two people match. In the case of your ex-girlfriend (I might add that she is really a much stronger Virgo) she does happen to match up better to her Libra friend. You my friend are best to put her behind you and start looking forward to the transits you have coming up later this year for love and romance. Even if she leaves her Libra friends and tries to get back together with you it really isn't worth your while. You match up well to the sign Libra however just not to this one. You also do well with Aries, Gemini, Leo, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Aquarius. As for your friend - she is going through a make it or break it period where love is concerned. With regard to her new boyfriend - he is a strong Libra and yes they are flirts and usually looking for someone who is flawless so they do tend to jump to whoever appears to be perfect but in this particular Libras case he has his natal Venus in the sign Scorpio well aspected to his natal Saturn in Cancer and that is usually an indication that he will be devoted to his lover and even possibly jealous and controlling - now that could push her away eventually. As for you - get on with your life and don't look back. She isn't your soul mate.

Dear Eugenia,
I was born in Boston, MA at 3:06am on March 6, 1975. My career is going no where. I keep running into dead ends. Every time I find a job I end up wanting to quit within 1-4 months. You can imagine what my resume looks like. I do try to commit, but always find the situation unbearable. Right now, I'm at 4 months and barely hanging on. I always want to quit because of office politics. I once heard someone say "don't be a part of office politics, but do be aware it." "mind your own business, and do your work." I have done both of these. And at every job I am constantly the "butt" of office gossip. I am aware that for me to be quiet and do my work will seem threatening to some. But why am I treated so meanly even if I am nice to everyone? I have had co-workers ruin my projects or take credit for my work. I have had plenty say negative untrue things about me and people actually believe them! Talking to managers doesn't work either. I've tried and have been put down by them or simply laughed at or ignored. I've even been fired for not being able to get along with a co-worker even though it was the co-worker who did all the "mean things". And at my current job, I am afraid this may happen again. I feel like I get the brunt of it more than anyone else. And I am sure I am not being paranoid or overly sensitive. I am professional and mature as possible and as I can be. So what's wrong with me? I am seeking therapy, however, what do you see in all this? Please tell me anything you can. Please help me. I am deeply worried, concerned, & afraid for my work/career situations. Your sensitivity regarding work and money is and has been a little out of control over the course of the past couple of years and although you are not quite over the hump as of yet relief is on the way. Your chart indicates that you should be working in a field that is a little unusual, that you need to be creative, nurturing and inventive. The area of your chart that deals with higher education is in a high cycle for the next few months and that means that an apprenticeship or picking up skills that could help you change your vocation may be the answer. You might want to consider starting your own business as well. You need to be doing something that you feel is going to give you something back at some point. Over the course of the past two years you also had transiting Neptune hitting your chart in such a way that it was causing deception, disillusionment and misunderstandings with colleagues and employers. Take three steps back and decide what it is you want to do and start to move in that direction. Reluctantly, I must write you about matters of the heart. I am truly a contrarian Aquarian - I am going against the prevailing wisdom of almost every human I have encountered, and I am seeing someone who is considered in some circles to be unsavory, devious, shallow, self-absorbed etc....Now, this isn't the sad old story of a long-suffering girl who wants to change "her man". Who puts up with crap because she can't stand to be alone. No. I am a people-savvy person and I really do not think he deserves *most* of his negative publicity. And who wants someone completely uncontroversial and bland anyway? I was born January 28, 1974, at 11:50 PM and he January 23, 1966. So, what the heck do the stars have say about this coupling? And what does my long-term future hold? Will I have a farm, a hubby, some chickens and kids? Or will I be an eccentric old lady, alone with her cats? You rock Eugenia. You look fantastic as a blonde!

Hate to disappoint you and agree with your friends but I do. The comparison shows evidence of deception and isn't even all that conducive to a good connection but there certainly is a physical bond and chemistry that is holding you. I call this kind of connection "meeting your Messiah" I have seen it many times and it is as if you can not help yourself regardless what anyone tells you. Don't feel bad it is very often the case that the person abducted by his or her Messiah is very bright, intelligent, even intuitive but when it comes to this kind of match up all ability to do what's best is gone. I hope you find the strength to distance yourself and move on as I do believe over the course of the time spent with this person you will lose self-esteem, confidence and probably everything else you like about yourself. Hopefully your friends are willing to stick around for however long it takes for you to see the light.
