I have been friends with a lady for 5 years and we have been dating for 2 years of that time. I am Aries born 31/3/1978 not sure the time and my girlfriend was born 23/9/1971 not sure on time.
About 2 weeks ago she split with me one day and went straight over to another guy the next day. Even though she said she was going to think about us. I found out now that they have been fully seeing each other and she already says she loves him. Why I am writing to you is I was wondering what would have been the better match for her.
He was born on the 24/9/1973 not sure the time. What I have read on the net is a lot and I figured out that I think that she and I would have been a better match for each other than her and this other guy. Could you please tell me up front if a Libra and an Aries are better for each other than a Libra and Libra? Also I have read that Libras are big on flirting and so on and that Libra males are always on the look out for something better if it comes long is this true???

Sun Sign Astrology is a fun approach to the subject but not that realistic. When you run a comparison you really have to look at all the planets involved etc in order to see how well two people match. In the case of your ex-girlfriend (I might add that she is really a much stronger Virgo) she does happen to match up better to her Libra friend. You my friend are best to put her behind you and start looking forward to the transits you have coming up later this year for love and romance. Even if she leaves her Libra friends and tries to get back together with you it really isn't worth your while. You match up well to the sign Libra however just not to this one. You also do well with Aries, Gemini, Leo, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Aquarius. As for your friend - she is going through a make it or break it period where love is concerned. With regard to her new boyfriend - he is a strong Libra and yes they are flirts and usually looking for someone who is flawless so they do tend to jump to whoever appears to be perfect but in this particular Libras case he has his natal Venus in the sign Scorpio well aspected to his natal Saturn in Cancer and that is usually an indication that he will be devoted to his lover and even possibly jealous and controlling - now that could push her away eventually. As for you - get on with your life and don't look back. She isn't your soul mate.

The area of your chart that deals with academics is quite favorable. Not only does it show determination and desire to get ahead but also that you have a good memory. Over the course of the past three years however there has been a transit that may have stood in the way of your capabilities. This transit moved off your chart early this year and that means you should be getting back on track. You will find the next several years much better regarding both lower and higher education. Regarding your friendships, you have had similar limitations because the same area of your chart represents your peers and classmates. Where a more romantic partner is concerned you are just entering a favorable period now and it will be with you until late spring of next year. You match up well to those born under the signs Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Sagittarius and Aquarius. When relating to other people you are not necessarily cool and detached but you sometimes will treat your friends in that manner. It is more to do with your own uncertainty. If you aren?t sure of the response you are going to get from others you tend to hold back. Once you get to know someone you are more outgoing and friendly. The problem is opening up in the initial stages when you first meet people. I'm surprised you've only been married twice after viewing your chart. You do have just as much Sagittarius in your chart as Scorpio but the sign Leo appears to influence you even more. Having your natal Venus in Sagittarius well aspected I don't think you have a problem meeting partners nor do I think you are one to totally commit. The past couple of years and for the next couple of years you are being hit by a transiting planet that is causing great confusion and although this can make it difficult to find a direction it can also open doors and lead you down some very creative and unpredictable pathways that will help contribute to where you end up by around 2008. This can mean a complete lifestyle change but you must be careful not to let someone else be your guru so to speak. I believe when it comes to reaching or fulfilling your goals you tend to hold yourself back from what you really and truly want to do. You must travel back in time and think about your earliest aspirations and if you haven't gone down that road it may be time to take courses or do whatever is necessary in order to fulfill these desires. Love is in a high cycle between now and late summer of next year and you will meet potential partners if you travel or get involved in something that interests you or possibly by getting involved in a totally different way of life than what you are used to. You have a good chart but you are right about being confused. The only way to use this transit that is causing all your confusion positively is to get involved in a creative endeavor, a relationship or a different way of living.
