We've all experienced times of conflict and personal struggle. Times when the assistance and advice of a friend always seemed to lend comfort and ease the burden. Have you ever wondered what it would be like if that friend was one of the world's most revered astrologers, with over 25 years of experience?

The following are our 'Dear Eugenia' letters archive:
Hello Eugenia!
I'm a female Aquarian with a Sagittarius moon and Pisces ascendant. I'm wondering what to do with my life. I quit work last December because, while I was good at what I was doing, I wasn't happy. I'm wondering if I should push myself in a more creative direction, but money is tight. I'm actually terrified of what I think I want - my family and friends would not like it, also, I've grown accustomed to using hope as an excuse to look forward to the future: Maybe one day I'll be doing something I like and getting rewarded for it.
I think life would be much easier if we were born with little instruction books which told us our life expectancy, where to find our partners, how many children we might have - if any, what job we were designed for and a step-by-step breakdown of our destiny; maybe wanting instructions is laziness, but I'm exhausted from living. I probably think too much. I went for a reading recently and I was told that I need to take a break... but I am taking a break and it's not helping me figure anything out.
Any clues to what's eating me or where I should go, what I should do?
Aquarius
Hello Aquarius
You aren't the only Aquarius who is confused right now but nothing so serious that a little creativity and following your dreams can't fix. We were all born with what I like to call a road map of our lives. That is what an astrological chart is. You my friend were born with a splash chart and that makes you quite capable of doing many different things. You are coming into lots of changes over the next few years especially where vocation, studying and traveling to distant lands are concerned. Your chart indicates many creative interests in which entertaining is one of them. You are the one who holds yourself back - no one else. You must be true to yourself and pursue the type of career that will make you happy. If you read my work on a regular basis you have probably heard me say many times that the prerequisite to happiness is doing the right thing at the right time for you.
You are coming into your first Saturn return next year and this is what I refer to as the maturing time in a person's life. It is very common for you to be reevaluating your life and your future direction. This is a pivotal period, a time to size up what you have done with your life up until this point and what the possibilities are for the future. This is your decision - no one else's and you have to make the alterations that will please you the most. If you want to pursue something creative the next couple of years is the time to do so. Don't look back too long or you will waste the opportunity to follow your heart. Take the plunge and give yourself a chance to find your niche. The worst case scenario is not trying to achieve your dreams and looking back in fifteen years when you go through your second half-life Saturn and you say to yourself could of, should of would of. Don't fall victim to having regrets because you didn't take the initiative - just do it - the time is right.
Eugenia
Dear Eugenia,
I was in a very intense, 4-month relationship that ended Feb, 2000. I am a Taurus/Gemini cusp, born May 21, 1958 @ 3:20 a.m. and he was born Sept. 13, 1957. He ended it in a very callous fashion, i.e. a phone call informing me it was over with no prior discussion, no fight, no indication whatsoever that anything was wrong. Needless to say I was devastated, not to mention shocked and betrayed beyond belief. He was/is the only man I have ever loved as there wasn't a single thing about him that I didn't like and I have NEVER found that before or since.
Being single at age 42 is no picnic. Pickings are slim simply because of logistics and what is available usually involves problems with kids, ex-wives and whatever other baggage they are bound to be carrying. So I find myself feeling totally hopeless that I will never find someone I cared for like I did him. I have been to the beach and back and know full well how bad the odds are.
So, before I toss in all my chips and waste no further effort into trying to meet someone, I thought I'd ask you if and when you foresee me ever finding happiness.
Ready to Give Up
Dear Ready to Give Up
Don't throw in the towel just yet. There are opportunities to meet potential partners this year but you must get out and join organizations you believe in. It is important that you also take the time to grow and expand your horizons this year. You are headed toward your second half-life Saturn and it is time to reevaluate and make the necessary changes. To travel both mentally and physically will be enlightening and should lead you down unfamiliar avenues that will change your life. If you think back to when you were around the age of 14/15 you went through this same transit as a child, now you are going to experience similar events as an adult. You match up well to those born under the signs Gemini, Libra and Sagittarius. You can also form relationships through travel, friends, relatives or taking courses that interest you.

Dear Eugenia,
I have had my chart done by a respected astrologer. She determined that I was a Virgo with Leo Rising. This pairing, along with some propitious planets, induced her to say that I have a flair for communication, writing, and a gift for gab. Most would agree with that. In my life, I have been involved with scientific research and law, however I still yearn for a bohemian lifestyle in publishing and the producing of film. Do you see that happening in midlife as my astrologer did? With Jupiter transiting over my natal Jupiter and then Ascendant, I would think things look favorable. The astrologist also said that because my Venus and Saturn are conjunct, I was relatively unlucky in matters of family and love. However, she forecast someone unique and different coming into my life, kind of like me and compatible. What do you think? I was born September 18, 1954, at 2:35 AM
Virgo
Dear Virgo
You are a Virgo by Sun Sign only and yes your Sun does fall in your third house of communications but it is only favorably aspected to your Jupiter and Uranus in your twelfth house which doesn't usually allow the communications to come through in a professional manner. With regard to working in research and with law the twelfth house does play a role, as does medical research, working with institutions etc. I believe that your writing and publishing is more of a hobby than a moneymaker but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't try nor does it mean that you can't get somewhere with it if you are willing to put in the 300 percent and long hours it takes to actually live that type of lifestyle. With Jupiter moving through your twelfth house you should have an opportunity to make some career moves however as it hits your ascendant that is usually an indication that you can gain weight as well as blow situations out of proportion. Keep in mind that your natal Uranus and Jupiter are square your natal Neptune and this can cause you to be disillusioned about what you do. Regarding love your Venus was in a favorable position last year however if you didn't get out and meet people you may have missed the opportunity. Although the Saturn Venus conjunction can cause problems in love it is also well aspected to your North and South Node and this usually has a favorable affect on this conjunction. You should always look to the ruler of the seventh house regarding partnerships especially in a case like yours where there is no planet in that house. The ruler is Uranus in your case and you have your natal Uranus in Cancer conjunct Jupiter sextile to your natal Sun and square your natal Neptune. This can mean that your relationships begin and end suddenly, there you do meet people you like but they are usually w not available, that you can meet through your work however they could end up being more of a secret affair. Now I'm not saying that you can't find love and quite frankly right now while transiting Jupiter is crossing over your natal Uranus it is a good time to meet someone however be smart about it and always have an astrological comparison done.
