I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

I was born January 9th, 1968 at 10:00 P.M. It seems that too often when I read up on Capricorn, there is some type of foreboding or conflict pending, especially of late. Is there some sort of alignment somewhere creating this, and if so when will it change for the better. I have taken on a new business venture that is growing, but there seems to have been a great deal of obstacles slowing things down along the way. I was going insane emotionally and mentally, and so was my partner, who couldn't understand (as a witness), why there were so many delays with so much input on my part. My relationship suffered because of it. Do you know what's going on out there?

Well yes indeed there have been a couple of transiting planets (Saturn and Jupiter) playing havoc with your sign and to top it off other parts of your chart have also been afflicted by Uranus and Neptune as well. One of the most important transits that moved into your chart last fall and will remain with you until late this fall can cause you to expand too fast, take on too much etc so it is important that you don't move or grow too quickly. Transiting Saturn has been moving through the sign Cancer your polar opposite and this can cause limitations, frustrations, setback and obstacles which is exactly what you have been experiencing. This transit will be moving off your chart mid summer bringing you some relief. In the late fall when Jupiter moves into the sign Scorpio for approximately one year you will find that the tables will begin to turn in your favor in many different areas of your life from business to personal. Capricorns are very self-sufficient so they tend to move along even through the difficult times fixing things along the way. You didn't include your partners birth data however I'm sure he or she will be glad to hear that you do have better times heading your way. The area of your chart that deals with partnerships has been experiencing grief as well however this should begin to clear up the second half of this year and throughout next so you should be able to make amends.

I really like your web site it's very entertaining. I'm wondering if you would please answer this question for me: Am I a Scorpio or Scorpio/Sagittarius My birth date is November 22, 1967 and approximate birth time 2:00 a.m. in Toulouse, France.
I've always associated myself with being a Scorpio more than a Sagittarius, but wonder because I'm right on the cusp, am I correct in my thinking. Most of the Astrological books show Scorpio from October 24 to November 21, though I have run into some that have the dates October 24 to November 22, which dates are correct.
Would you please clear this up for me ------- am I more Scorpio than Sagittarius or do I have a little of both?
My boyfriend is a Pisces - birth date March 13, 1971, what is our compatibility like?

The dates that they set in most newspapers are for the benefit of the readers who know little about the subject and refuse to note that it can change a couple of days from year to year. When I first took over Jeane Dixon's column I tried to incorporate the exact date that the Sun moved from one constellation to another however too many readers were upset so I had to go back to using the Sun Sign set dates. In your case you are a Scorpio with your natal Sun, Mercury and Neptune in that sign. You don't have any planets whatsoever in the sign Sagittarius therefore you are correct that they influence is minimal. You do however have a strong Virgo influence with your natal Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto in that sign as well as your ascendant. Regarding your compatibility with your boyfriend I felt that it was quite superb. Although no relationship is perfect there really weren't any red flags to speak of. I would be considering marriage over the course of the next two years and possibly of starting a family.

Dear Eugenia:
This is my second attempt to write you concerning this problem that seems to be overwhelming to me.I became reacquainted with someone (b/d 3/31/46 mine 9/8/47) from my hometown after 30 years. He lives an hour away and we have spent a year of his coming to visit weekends and numerous phone calls daily. We became one another's best friend as well as lovers. It seemed our progressing relationship was going well. We had a wonderful 3-day weekend, the next two days our phone calls continued just like normal. Then out of the blue he breaks it off. When he broke it off he said he didn't love me. He wanted to leave his personal items here for a while. I waited and was horribly depressed. Sent them back. He was upset and says it was his fault. He says he has been doing a lot of soul searching about why he got scared. He said it seems he never let anyone in and thinks it stems from a childhood problem. Now he says if I can give him a few more days or weeks he hopes he can resolve his issues. He continued to say we had something special.
What is going on with him? Can he resolve these issues? Will we be able to overcome these problems? How do I deal with this? He is a wonderful man but he has hurt me deeply and I care very much for him. It could be a great relationship for my part, his I don't know.
I am not able to cope with another loss in my life. I've lost too many people to death and I just don't have the strength to be hurt again.

The comparison is quite good but I do believe that there is something that your Aries man isn't telling you. It may not be something that will matter to you but it obviously does to him. Wait it out and give the guy a chance. You've got some time to spare right now. Later this year and the first half of next year are better for you where relationships and romance are concerned so if he doesn't make his move by the fall be prepared to get out and meet new and potentially better partners. You match up well to those born under the signs Aries, Leo, Libra Sagittarius and Aquarius.
