I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

I was born January 9th, 1968 at 10:00 P.M. It seems that too often when I read up on Capricorn, there is some type of foreboding or conflict pending, especially of late. Is there some sort of alignment somewhere creating this, and if so when will it change for the better. I have taken on a new business venture that is growing, but there seems to have been a great deal of obstacles slowing things down along the way. I was going insane emotionally and mentally, and so was my partner, who couldn't understand (as a witness), why there were so many delays with so much input on my part. My relationship suffered because of it. Do you know what's going on out there?

Well yes indeed there have been a couple of transiting planets (Saturn and Jupiter) playing havoc with your sign and to top it off other parts of your chart have also been afflicted by Uranus and Neptune as well. One of the most important transits that moved into your chart last fall and will remain with you until late this fall can cause you to expand too fast, take on too much etc so it is important that you don't move or grow too quickly. Transiting Saturn has been moving through the sign Cancer your polar opposite and this can cause limitations, frustrations, setback and obstacles which is exactly what you have been experiencing. This transit will be moving off your chart mid summer bringing you some relief. In the late fall when Jupiter moves into the sign Scorpio for approximately one year you will find that the tables will begin to turn in your favor in many different areas of your life from business to personal. Capricorns are very self-sufficient so they tend to move along even through the difficult times fixing things along the way. You didn't include your partners birth data however I'm sure he or she will be glad to hear that you do have better times heading your way. The area of your chart that deals with partnerships has been experiencing grief as well however this should begin to clear up the second half of this year and throughout next so you should be able to make amends.

I am studying in London and I have been feeling very depressed and lost for quite some time. Even though I tried very hard, I still could not solve the problems. I was born on December 29, 1974 at 1:50am. First of all I want to find out if I have the tendency being a homosexual. I am still in love with a girl I met in university. No matter how she hurts me, I still care about her. I have done so much for her, even more than my ex boyfriend and fianc?e. She makes me lose my senses. After a fight with her, I even had a 1-night stand with a man to satisfy myself. I say to myself that I do not love her but I will secretly look at her email messages. I can lie to my best friend because of her but I cannot give her up. During this year, I will not accept any other man or woman. I want to ask if I am destined to be a homosexual or bisexual? Is she really the love of my life?
Once I think of her, I cannot let go of her. I cannot continue to write. Hope you will give me a reply soonest.

Your chart does indicate that you do swim in both directions sexually. However, I believe that as you mature you will probably find that companionship will be based on friendship as well as family issues. I believe that you need a person in your life that will be loving, kind and share the same interests. This could turn out to be either sex. The fact that you are obsessed with this particular female is not necessarily a good thing. I believe that you have been going through a certain amount of self-deception and denial over the past few years. Now that this particular period has come to an end you should be able to start growing in a direction that will allow you to move on letting this relationship go. Regardless of whether this person is male or female it has not been a healthy connection for you. Prepare to clear your head and sort out what it is that you truly want out of life. Your chart does indicate that you would be a terrific mother and although that might not be on your mind right now it is something that you should consider. If not having children of your own, certainly doing something with children. Your chart is very creative and you show potential where traveling, teaching, communication and working in the medical field is concerned. You are bright, talented and need to focus on what it is you what to be and do along with where it is that you want to live. I believe that you would also do well immigrating to a country that would allow you greater freedom to expand your interests and your horizons.

Over the past 4 years or so my life has been going in a downward spiral. I lost my father; my wife (through divorce) and I don't see my daughter. I lost my job as a software engineer. I know, like most, that you take the rough with the smooth in life. Now I'm at a stage where I feel completely lost and without direction. My finances have hit rock bottom. This is in stark contrast to about 12 years ago when life was almost great! Over recent years it seems that whatever I do just doesn't work. My question is will my life ever improve? Any help or guidance you can offer will be appreciated. I was born June 18, 1969 at 6 am.

Several planets have added to your down spiral the past eight years and although these transits in your chart aren't completely gone things do appear to be getting better. Part of the problem the past four years is that transiting Saturn has been passing through an area of your chart that can cause major depression and if your state of mind is bad because of this you will in turn attract negativity. This will lift off towards the end of the summer when you should start to feel some relief, but that doesn't mean that everything will turn around instantly. It will take work, effort and time on your part to make the difference. You appear to be lonely and this has also contributed to your depression. Trying to get involved with someone the past several years would have been difficult. With your natal Venus being adversely aspected by transiting Neptune sorrow within relationships was likely, not to mention the confusion you must have been experiencing. This is now lifting off and by the fall you will be in a much better position to meet someone who will be good for you and help to brighten your life. You match up well to those born under the signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces.
