I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

I was born January 9th, 1968 at 10:00 P.M. It seems that too often when I read up on Capricorn, there is some type of foreboding or conflict pending, especially of late. Is there some sort of alignment somewhere creating this, and if so when will it change for the better. I have taken on a new business venture that is growing, but there seems to have been a great deal of obstacles slowing things down along the way. I was going insane emotionally and mentally, and so was my partner, who couldn't understand (as a witness), why there were so many delays with so much input on my part. My relationship suffered because of it. Do you know what's going on out there?

Well yes indeed there have been a couple of transiting planets (Saturn and Jupiter) playing havoc with your sign and to top it off other parts of your chart have also been afflicted by Uranus and Neptune as well. One of the most important transits that moved into your chart last fall and will remain with you until late this fall can cause you to expand too fast, take on too much etc so it is important that you don't move or grow too quickly. Transiting Saturn has been moving through the sign Cancer your polar opposite and this can cause limitations, frustrations, setback and obstacles which is exactly what you have been experiencing. This transit will be moving off your chart mid summer bringing you some relief. In the late fall when Jupiter moves into the sign Scorpio for approximately one year you will find that the tables will begin to turn in your favor in many different areas of your life from business to personal. Capricorns are very self-sufficient so they tend to move along even through the difficult times fixing things along the way. You didn't include your partners birth data however I'm sure he or she will be glad to hear that you do have better times heading your way. The area of your chart that deals with partnerships has been experiencing grief as well however this should begin to clear up the second half of this year and throughout next so you should be able to make amends.

Hello my birth date is Jan 11th of 1980, at 7:18 a.m. My boyfriends birthday is May 24th of 1975, not sure the time, is using drugs (so I believe) I have known him for 9 years and I also was a drug addict until Jan 19th of 2004. I was incarcerated for one year and been clean ever since. I also had my child while I was incarcerated on June 13th of 2004 at 12:25 in the afternoon. She is the reason why I'm clean today. She is so precious to me and I love her to death. I will do anything for her I even quit smoking. But her father bob I think is still using. You see he lives 2 and 1/2 hours away. He really doesn't do anything for our child he has given me only $50.00 since she was born and only seen her about 6 times in 9 months. I'm afraid for him and I want a better life for him. I just don't know what he's thinking anymore. Since his mother passed away 4 years ago it's like he always looked at life as nothing but a downhill for him. He thinks everybody is out to get him and that there's some kind of curse on him cause everything bad always happens when something good comes along. Do you see any future with us being a family at all? Do you see me being an independent mother? I want everything for my child. Bob hasn't been there for me through a lot and I hate him for that. But deep down inside I love him. After all I did for him. He has been trying to get clean but I don't think its working out for him. I talked to him on the phone this morning and he sounded messed up. He said he was going to call me back but never did. When I called him tonight his father told me he went out... go figure. His best friend mike passed away this morning and it was an overdose. I have been through a lot and well I was just wondering if you see a brighter future for me. I live with my parents and its exhausting raising my child in my parent's household. Well I hope you respond to this letter.. Thank you for your time.

You should be very proud of yourself. It isn't easy to beat addiction. Now you have to protect you and your little girl from the perils of that whole scene. Your boyfriend does not match up well to either you or your daughter. It is best for you to walk away from him and not look back. You need to focus on yourself and getting ahead. It is apparent that you should be upgrading or learning a new skill between now and the early part of next year. This will enable you to get a decent job that will not only lead to your freedom but security for you and your baby. You are fortunate to have parents who care enough to help you after going down the path you choose in the past. I'm sure they are very proud of you as well. I can't stress enough that you must leave your past where it is and not venture near your Gemini friend. I do not believe that at any point he will be good for you. Your chart indicates that you are in a high cycle this summer and fall regarding love and romance. There is the chance that your ex will try to come back into your life at that time as well. Please do not entertain the thought of getting back with him - not even for a moment. Move ahead and date someone new. You should have an astrological comparison done with whomever you decide to date just to be sure that you have picked wisely. You don't have the best track record when it comes to picking partners. You match up well to those born under the signs Taurus, Cancer, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces. The signs Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius are definitely not good for you. I've written to you several times but as yet have not had an answer, so I'm sure that you must be extremely busy. Your advice is so thorough that I hope you will answer my letter. I have been seeing a Gemini male, born June 13, 1950, 4:30 p.m. We've been intimate but it has been more as a friendship than anything else. We don't live together but we live nearby one another. I've known him for approximately one and a half years. He comes on hot and cold (depending on his stresses of the day). He works in an extremely high stress job. If he's had a couple of beers he confesses that he likes me and that he can't believe that I would care for someone like him. He insists he wants to remain friends, yet when I tell him that I can't be friends and try to let go, he talks me into hanging around. I love this man deeply and have been trying to help him. Deep down I feel that he cares more than as a friend for me and doesn't want me out of his life. If the job has stressed him that particular day he does not want to talk and if he does, he has a tendency of cutting you off, so that all you want to do is get off the phone with him. Am I wasting my time? Should I continue to be friends with him? He continually tells me that I deserve better because he's not very stable emotionally, then when I stay away and then see him again, he's major happy to see me. Please tell me if it's worth my while to continue being friends with him or should I just leave him alone and hope he gets better without me. You have to be friends before you become lovers. Friends are there forever but lovers come and go. Wake up and realize that if you enjoy being with this man it really doesn't matter and get over his Gemini aloofness and enjoy the moment. I do believe that he loves you. You match up very well emotionally, physically and mentally - what more do you want. On the down side he falls in an area of your chart that deals with secret affairs so if he isn't including you in the rest of his life you may have a serious problem to deal with and you fall in an area of his chart that deals with communication and dealing with his friends and family so if there is a problem regarding these matters you may want to consider clearing them up before moving forward. Your chart indicates that you will be in a high cycle regarding commitment and getting serious beginning mid summer however that doesn't guarantee that it will be with him. With transiting Saturn beginning to move across the top of his chart this year you may find him more receptive to settling down as well as less stressed because he will finally be getting the recognition he needs to feel good about his work. If you don't find him leaning toward becoming more serious between now and the fall of next year you may want to set your sights on someone new. That being the case you may want to consider someone born under the sign Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn or Pisces.
