This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.

Hi Eugenia

I was born January 9th, 1968 at 10:00 P.M. It seems that too often when I read up on Capricorn, there is some type of foreboding or conflict pending, especially of late. Is there some sort of alignment somewhere creating this, and if so when will it change for the better. I have taken on a new business venture that is growing, but there seems to have been a great deal of obstacles slowing things down along the way. I was going insane emotionally and mentally, and so was my partner, who couldn't understand (as a witness), why there were so many delays with so much input on my part. My relationship suffered because of it. Do you know what's going on out there?

Well yes indeed there have been a couple of transiting planets (Saturn and Jupiter) playing havoc with your sign and to top it off other parts of your chart have also been afflicted by Uranus and Neptune as well. One of the most important transits that moved into your chart last fall and will remain with you until late this fall can cause you to expand too fast, take on too much etc so it is important that you don't move or grow too quickly. Transiting Saturn has been moving through the sign Cancer your polar opposite and this can cause limitations, frustrations, setback and obstacles which is exactly what you have been experiencing. This transit will be moving off your chart mid summer bringing you some relief. In the late fall when Jupiter moves into the sign Scorpio for approximately one year you will find that the tables will begin to turn in your favor in many different areas of your life from business to personal. Capricorns are very self-sufficient so they tend to move along even through the difficult times fixing things along the way. You didn't include your partners birth data however I'm sure he or she will be glad to hear that you do have better times heading your way. The area of your chart that deals with partnerships has been experiencing grief as well however this should begin to clear up the second half of this year and throughout next so you should be able to make amends.

Article: No Place Like Home

Dear Eugenia,

I wanted to start out by telling you the number of times I've written, but I don't remember. I'm really pleading with you for some advice. My boyfriend [June 12, 1972] and I [Sept. 25, 1974, at 8:18 AM] moved across country together about 4 months ago. Since then, he has been supporting me and I can't seem to find work here. I have had periods of depression, and then I find myself motivated. I have been up and down on an emotional roller coaster since I got here. He is also unhappy. Maybe more than me. He is unhappy with the job that brought us out here, and wants to quit, except we are going broke at this point. I have been asking friends and relatives to borrow money. I feel guilty that I have not been able to pull my weight financially in this relationship, I also feel like that leaves me completely defenseless in any conversation that I have with my boyfriend, fight or otherwise. Every time I check my horoscope on your site, it seems to tell me that my financial outlook is getting better, or that it should be. I feel like there is one part of my life that is what you might call the "core" of my problems. I don't know what it is. Lately my self-esteem has been low; I can't seem to do anything right and I don't know how to make him or me feel better. I only see one answer...get a job. It's obvious, but I've looked for jobs that are way beneath my ability, and no one is hiring. I feel like this is a trap I fell in. Before I left to move here, I was financially capable; I worked all the time and actually partially supported him. But now it has just been too long. Is there any part of my chart showing that I'm neglecting a certain aspect of my life that could change some of this nonsense? I feel there is something that I'm doing horribly wrong, and I just don't know what it is or how to change it. Please, Please help...And thank you.

I feel that you should be preparing to make a move back to where you came from. Contact your former employer and see if there is something available for you. If you don't feel that this is an option the other suggestion is to pick up different skills through educational pursuits or offer services to couples in your neighborhood needing childcare help for the time being. Regarding your financial position being favorable, it is but in an area that deals with investments, not work and money. Therefore if you were older and more established you may have been able to take advantage of these transits and invested in a worthwhile stock or business. You may be able to use these transits however to invest in yourself by starting your own business. As far as making money by working for others it does look grim. You have so much going for you however; you are creative, intellectual and bright. Talk to your boyfriend about starting your own home based business. He may even be interested in helping you. As for him, if he doesn't like his job why are you both still there. You should have probably returned home already.

Article: Troubles in Beijing

Dear Eugenia,

I was born in 1978/7/8 at 7:00am, and am now working in Beijing. I am not doing the profession that I studied. I have to start all over again. Last August, when I just came to Beijing, my friend who came here with me died. I feel very sad. I always have the feeling that I should take some responsibility for her death because I brought her to Beijing. If I did not recommend her to the job, she would not come to Beijing and would not die. I am living in the city alone. I have no good friend here, doing something that I am not familiar with, learning new things from the very beginning and earning a very low salary. I don't know whether coming to Beijing has been the right choice. I want to change my job but I am not sure whether the new job requires me to learn new things from the very beginning. I don't even know whether I should get a new job relating to my profession or should I stay in this trading company invested by foreign capital. I really don't know where to go. Hope you can give me some advice.

You must not blame yourself for your friend's untimely death. I believe that we all have a beginning and an end. That nothing can change those two parameters in life. There was nothing you did to cause your friends death nor could have done anything to prevent it. As for you, it's time to get on with your life and put the past behind you. You are in a high cycle regarding relationships, meeting people through the organizations or clubs you join, socializing and putting your creative abilities to work for you. This is a period that you should be expanding your circle of friends. Regarding your work you will not be able to rely on others. You will have to work hard in order to get ahead but if you do it will pay off. The confusion in your chart is evident, especially regarding your future career prospects but if you just continue to work hard eventually this will pass and accomplishment will be yours. Regarding where you live it would be better to consider a move during the second half of this year or the first half of next, as for right now you are better to stay where you are. Stop being so hard on yourself and living in the past. Life is for the living, not the dead. Get out, meet people and move on.
