I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.
For those of you who wish to contribute birth data to my research, please enter your information to my medical astrology research listed on my home page. This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.
I want to stress how important it is to submit complete and accurate birth data – the time and place of birth.

I was born January 9th, 1968 at 10:00 P.M. It seems that too often when I read up on Capricorn, there is some type of foreboding or conflict pending, especially of late. Is there some sort of alignment somewhere creating this, and if so when will it change for the better. I have taken on a new business venture that is growing, but there seems to have been a great deal of obstacles slowing things down along the way. I was going insane emotionally and mentally, and so was my partner, who couldn't understand (as a witness), why there were so many delays with so much input on my part. My relationship suffered because of it. Do you know what's going on out there?

Well yes indeed there have been a couple of transiting planets (Saturn and Jupiter) playing havoc with your sign and to top it off other parts of your chart have also been afflicted by Uranus and Neptune as well. One of the most important transits that moved into your chart last fall and will remain with you until late this fall can cause you to expand too fast, take on too much etc so it is important that you don't move or grow too quickly. Transiting Saturn has been moving through the sign Cancer your polar opposite and this can cause limitations, frustrations, setback and obstacles which is exactly what you have been experiencing. This transit will be moving off your chart mid summer bringing you some relief. In the late fall when Jupiter moves into the sign Scorpio for approximately one year you will find that the tables will begin to turn in your favor in many different areas of your life from business to personal. Capricorns are very self-sufficient so they tend to move along even through the difficult times fixing things along the way. You didn't include your partners birth data however I'm sure he or she will be glad to hear that you do have better times heading your way. The area of your chart that deals with partnerships has been experiencing grief as well however this should begin to clear up the second half of this year and throughout next so you should be able to make amends.

I'm a female Aquarian with a Sagittarius moon and Pisces ascendant. I'm wondering what to do with my life. I quit work last December because, while I was good at what I was doing, I wasn't happy. I'm wondering if I should push myself in a more creative direction, but money is tight. I'm actually terrified of what I think I want - my family and friends would not like it, also, I've grown accustomed to using hope as an excuse to look forward to the future: Maybe one day I'll be doing something I like and getting rewarded for it.
I think life would be much easier if we were born with little instruction books which told us our life expectancy, where to find our partners, how many children we might have - if any, what job we were designed for and a step-by-step breakdown of our destiny; maybe wanting instructions is laziness, but I'm exhausted from living. I probably think too much. I went for a reading recently and I was told that I need to take a break... but I am taking a break and it's not helping me figure anything out.
Any clues to what's eating me or where I should go, what I should do?

You aren't the only Aquarius who is confused right now but nothing so serious that a little creativity and following your dreams can't fix. We were all born with what I like to call a road map of our lives. That is what an astrological chart is. You my friend were born with a splash chart and that makes you quite capable of doing many different things. You are coming into lots of changes over the next few years especially where vocation, studying and traveling to distant lands are concerned. Your chart indicates many creative interests in which entertaining is one of them. You are the one who holds yourself back - no one else. You must be true to yourself and pursue the type of career that will make you happy. If you read my work on a regular basis you have probably heard me say many times that the prerequisite to happiness is doing the right thing at the right time for you.
You are coming into your first Saturn return next year and this is what I refer to as the maturing time in a person's life. It is very common for you to be reevaluating your life and your future direction. This is a pivotal period, a time to size up what you have done with your life up until this point and what the possibilities are for the future. This is your decision - no one else's and you have to make the alterations that will please you the most. If you want to pursue something creative the next couple of years is the time to do so. Don't look back too long or you will waste the opportunity to follow your heart. Take the plunge and give yourself a chance to find your niche. The worst case scenario is not trying to achieve your dreams and looking back in fifteen years when you go through your second half-life Saturn and you say to yourself could of, should of would of. Don't fall victim to having regrets because you didn't take the initiative - just do it - the time is right.

I'm giving this one more try. I've sent an email to you in the past, however even though unanswered I wasn't really getting to the point. So here goes. When I met my husband in 1993, I thought for sure that he was my soul mate (his dob: 4/21/65/ my dob: 6/15/63). Before I met him, I met a palm reader who told me many things that came true, including that I would meet my soul mate. Things were going well, however this year I find myself questioning if he is the "one". I never gave it a thought a few years ago, but now I'm wondering. I've also found much interest in a man that I work with (4/10/66) and am trying very hard not to think of him other than a friend and co-worker. But I'm having such a hard time. It's not just a feeling of attraction, but a very strong feeling of a connection with this person for some reason. Am I totally out of line feeling this way or could there be something there.

You don't actually match up all that well to either of the men in question. The reason why you are in doubt of the relationship with your husband at this time is because the natal Venus and Mercury in your chart are conjunct transiting Jupiter while your natal Mars, Uranus and Pluto are being squared by Jupiter. This can cause confusion, a need to make changes in your relationship and erratic behavior on your part. I would guess that part of the reason you find yourself attracted to the Aries at work is because you are already dissatisfied with your relationship with your Taurus husband. I think that you have a lot of thinking to do and that you may want to seek counseling in order to help you work through your feelings. It appears to me that you will also be meeting many more potential mates over the course of the next two years and that you will face on going problems if you don't deal with your marriage quickly. Question your true feelings for your husband and start the communications rolling either with him, a counselor or both. You need to make the necessary changes in order to get on with your life. You actually match up well to those born under the signs Leo, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius. You do work well with Aries but it isn't wise for you to mix business with pleasure.
