I have decided to put more time and energy into my research. It’s been a pleasure to answer your emails and to help you through some of life’s tough journeys. Everyone who has participated in my Dear Eugenia column has enriched my life and I hope I have improved yours as well.

This research is explicitly dealing with cancer and mental health – addiction illness. The focus is on early diagnosis and preventative medicine.

Hi Eugenia

I was born January 9th, 1968 at 10:00 P.M. It seems that too often when I read up on Capricorn, there is some type of foreboding or conflict pending, especially of late. Is there some sort of alignment somewhere creating this, and if so when will it change for the better. I have taken on a new business venture that is growing, but there seems to have been a great deal of obstacles slowing things down along the way. I was going insane emotionally and mentally, and so was my partner, who couldn't understand (as a witness), why there were so many delays with so much input on my part. My relationship suffered because of it. Do you know what's going on out there?

Well yes indeed there have been a couple of transiting planets (Saturn and Jupiter) playing havoc with your sign and to top it off other parts of your chart have also been afflicted by Uranus and Neptune as well. One of the most important transits that moved into your chart last fall and will remain with you until late this fall can cause you to expand too fast, take on too much etc so it is important that you don't move or grow too quickly. Transiting Saturn has been moving through the sign Cancer your polar opposite and this can cause limitations, frustrations, setback and obstacles which is exactly what you have been experiencing. This transit will be moving off your chart mid summer bringing you some relief. In the late fall when Jupiter moves into the sign Scorpio for approximately one year you will find that the tables will begin to turn in your favor in many different areas of your life from business to personal. Capricorns are very self-sufficient so they tend to move along even through the difficult times fixing things along the way. You didn't include your partners birth data however I'm sure he or she will be glad to hear that you do have better times heading your way. The area of your chart that deals with partnerships has been experiencing grief as well however this should begin to clear up the second half of this year and throughout next so you should be able to make amends.

Article: Biting the Bullet

Dear Eugenia,

I must say that after reading through many people's questions and all your responses, you are one busy woman. Thanks for taking all that time to help people who need answers. I am a Leo, born August 16, 1978 at 5:55 a.m. Two years ago I enrolled in a college program that I knew was meant for me. My hard work and dedication paid off this summer because I was able to get a job in the industry I want to pursue. I know that I still have one year left to complete the program, but this job means a lot to me. Two partners own the business and I am the only employee. The problem is because one of the partners arrived at the company a couple of months ago and it was evident from the start that we did not get along. I'm sorry I don't know when her birthday is, but I can tell you that she is impatient, demeaning and at times can act hurtful. I know that the experience I'm getting here will help me when I graduate, but some days it's really hard to go to work and spend an entire day dealing with her attitude and her mood swings. I feel like I'm walking on eggshells and don't really want to confront her because I couldn't imagine her reaction. Can you give me any advice? What's more important: getting the experience or my self-esteem for a few more months? Thank you for looking my letter over.

You?ve got a promising chart and someday you will probably run your own business. For now, bite the bullet and put up with your boss?s bad attitude. Be thankful that you only have to work there for a short while and look at it as the experience you need to get you where you want to go. A clean slate and a good reference will be worth its weight in gold. I think that most people when starting in the work force meet one or two individuals who are impossible to work for. You have to feel sorry for these individuals who are so moody and hard to please. It?s obvious that they don?t lead very happy lives. As for you, your chart indicates that you may be over-reacting just a little and that you can be too sensitive with those you work with and for. You are born to lead and therefore it makes it difficult for you to take orders. Work hard now and you will be the boss later. You have what it takes to do well and you can make an excellent employer in the future. It?s too bad that you didn?t have her birth date, I may have been able to give you a couple of hints as to how you could handle her better and what she might be going through to cause such horrible mood swings.

Article: Getting Better

Dear Eugenia

I think I have too many burdens in my life. I'm a 20 yr old male. As I failed in all my exams and could not enter any college, all of my best friends left me. I didn't have many friends to begin with, but focused on developing a deep friendship with just one or two.However, they left me. You can imagine how depressed I am. Anyway, I was really quiet as if I was hiding in a cave for a year. And then, this year, 2001, I went to an art college but I found it difficult to make new friends while I was there. I couldn't find anyone who could share with me. Besides, I lost hope in music and in my ability to do well in the courses I was studying. I feel so depressed... I think things won't get better if I don't make changes to myself. However, it's hard to change and improve if I don't know where to start. Eugenia, please give me your advice. I believe that part of your problem is that you are focusing on the wrong things right now. Your chart indicates that you should be in the work force learning on the job or through an apprenticeship. The area of your chart that deals with work and money looks quite good as does getting recognition for what you do. If your interest in music happens to lead to playing in a band or singing or something of that nature you may want to get a job and start to push your own musical talent during your off hours. You are in a high cycle over the course of the next couple of years regarding getting ahead and following your dreams, hopes and wishes. Although it is always good to get an education not everyone is a good student. That doesn't mean however that you can't do well and excel at something that you love to do. Regarding friends and lovers you have to be patient. Many of your friends have moved in a different direction but there is some opportunity around you regarding making new friends. The possibility of meeting someone special is also apparent however both friendships and emotional relationships appear to be made at or through work. You match up well to those born under the signs Gemini, Sagittarius, Aquarius and Pisces.
